Final Fantasy XI kana/kanji entering
 

I was wondering if anyone here knows if it is possible to enter kana/kanji as input in the US release of Final Fantasy XI? I understand a very tiny bit of Japanese and I wish I could reply to other Japanese players whenever I understand what they're saying using proper kana/kanji. I already tried setting up my local OS settings to allow me to enter kana/kanji, but these settings don't seem to affect FFXI. Does anyone have any info regarding this?

There is an autotranslator that you can use...although it takes a bit to find the words you wanna say. Basically you use the tab button..if you are like me...bring up the minikeyboard on the screen and press tab and it will give you a list set up by category

I know how to use the autotranslate function, I should've mentioned that. I was just wondering if there is any way for me to actually enter kana/kanji in the US version?
