As of today, development on Ultima X: Odyssey has ended. We feel that Ultima Online is where we need to focus our online efforts and most of my team will be moving to the UO expansion pack, the UO live team, and an unannounced Ultima Online project. Development on UO will be greatly enhanced as we consolidate our resources behind that franchise.

This isn't an easy decision but it’s the right move for the future of all things Ultima, including the community and the team. We look forward to sharing our plans for the future of Ultima Online very soon.

I wasn't really looking forward to the game anyways. The next number in the series shouldn't have been an online game. Although the news of an unannounced Ultima Online game intrigues me. I wonder what it is.

Was Ultima X supposed to be online or single player? If it was going to be a single player, I'm a little upset because I loved Ultima 6-7. U8 sucked and I never played U9.

It would be really nice if they could make another single player RPG based on the Ultima storylines.

They pulled the exact same thing once before so it doesnt surprice me in the least..
