I rented the game and all I'm really thinking now is that I should have bought it. There are so many things to love about the game and I will highlight a few:
*Its awesome swinging around the city and getting to be spider-man. *The city is huge, just like the real thing, and all there are so many famous places to see. For example The Stature of LIberty, Twin Towers spot lights, etc *Some of the missions are cool, most do get a little repetitive though. *Combat is pretty cool once you get some of the better moves, however earlier on if your not careful you will get killed a lot. Bottom line: Its awesome, so far. I do think it would get old after awhile, but as of right now I would give it an 8.5/10 |

I've tried hitting him and webbing him and it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong?

No, he has a protective shield. You have to shut down the reactor first, he then says that his shield is down and you go kick his ass. Make sure to use the spidey sense so you don't get hit, because he will mess you up with those tentacles. Anyone beat all the pizza missions? They are extremely hard. |

Its the same as I posted earlier for someone else, spidey sense dodge and web attack at the same time. Its a little repetitive, but it works.

Spider-Man is so evil in my hands. Gotta love popping those balloons... I WISH this did come out for pc, so someone could have made a mod where Spider-Man can beat up anyone in the city and piledrive civilians off tall buildings

Woot woot!! I finally beat that tentacled motherplucker! YES!
He kicked my ass too many times to count, too. I couldn't even web-up his tentacles, either. I had to keep up a hit and run strategy and slowly wear him down. It worked best if I charge-jumped while sprinting at him then punched him over and over while using spider-reflexes. I also was finally able to find and save one the civilians that hang from the buildings. Almost rescued the last person on a sinking boat before the time ran out, too. (poor dude) Now, here's my problem(s). I can hear the little girl whining for her balloon, but as yet I haven't seen her or the balloon. Any help or advice? Annnd, is there a place to wait and catch a chopper to Liberty Island or another way to get there? Thanks in advance. Thank you, gents, for your earlier help, I really appreciated it. This is only my third game that I've been able to beat and I'm pretty happy.

Fremen: for the balloon thing, it's a purple marker, like a purse snatching or road rage. The marker is the balloon itself, and you have to be quick or it will get too high to catch. Once you have it the marker will change to the child. Oh, and don't try to web it -- pops the balloon.
I don't know about a copter to Liberty, but if you hang out on that side of Manhattan and listen for the sound you might get lucky. After all, you've got those 50K hero points to accumulate.

Thanks, Kadath. I was finally able to hop a chopper from a building catty-corner to the island.
I think I spotted the marker thing floating up but it was too far off. I'll try again later. Thanks once again.

The easiest way to get ballons is to lock on to them once you're close, then just hold forward and swing around until you get it. Works 99% of the time for me =)

I rode a helicopter about halfway across the water, Dashed on the line for a bust of swinging speed and jumped off... I landed in the water, but I was far enough to wash up on the island near liberty island. I then waited for another helicopter on that island to get to the statue of liberty. I then climbed/jumped my way to to top of the torch where Spidey now stands with arms crossed.
That sunrise is a beauty
