Ragnarok Online beta.
 

Anyone else playing the US beta test for Ragnarok Online? I'm currently playing as a swordsman by myself, wondering if anyone here plays, or wants to, and would like to hook up to go kill some things.

If so:
Sign up at www.ragnarokonline.com then download the client (570mb) and check it out. Send a message to Ninkeiden and we'll go do something if you like (If my bot is running it'll say something profound like "Who are you!?").

I don't know how popular it is. It's been around for a good year or two now, but questions and comments are welcome.

(Edit: Doh! Forgot to mention what server I'm on, I play on the Chaos server.)

it took some searching (and a lot of guessing, because I don't speak or read german very well. or at all). If you use flashget, or another GOOD download manager, it will be able to find at least 27 mirrors for the download.

Because I'm in finals right now, and going to graduate (finally) from university, I know I won't be able to start playing seriously for at least a month. But I do intend to play it, and I'd like to be either an Archer/Hunter or an Acolyte/Priest. :)

Just really started playing a couple of days ago. I want to be a mage/wizard but I'm still trying gain enough experience though.

Spleens Notes on the game:

What I like -
-Its fairly large, from what I have seen, and tons of diversity in what your character will Eventually look like.
-Fighting is easy, and so is talking. What is better is fighting and talking at the same time. (FUN :D )
-Variation. You have stats, you improve them. Hopefully this time not everyone is going to be the same character like in a lot of other games.

What I don't like -
-Too many people. True, this is a beta, its free. But I'm stuck up. I want less people to stroke my ego. Its too hard right now at the lower levels to find a good training spot without other people accidentally attacking the same creature as you, thus lowering my exp gained.
-Aside from people and warp spells, its too hard to travel around. The game map is of a decent size, but it just takes awhile to get anywhere.

Look for "Lacidonia" on the Loki server. :) You can just whisper to me if you want. I want to join a party.

As of this writing im a level 9/8 novice.. im in Prontera now, but after going to wack some porings for a few hours i'll be heading to Morroc to join the thief guild. I could make a side trip so you can be that Archer you always wanted, but those monsters are kinda tough.. Tall Rockers, those tree things.. so be sure you are at least a level 8 before we go.

also i am heading to Morroc, i accently picked knight. i am lv. 4/3 so i got some work to do :(

I think I played this game in the Alpha version or the really early stages of the beta. I don't remember which, its been months. It was fun till they started resetting servers and making you start your chars over. After I lost 2 decent to good chars i got mad and quit playing.

It amazing what a little break time can do for a guy ;) Right now I'm level 9 with a job skill level of 7. So I'm pretty good right now.

Dammit... and if I didn't have another paper to do, I'd totally go blind playing this today...

I'm up to 44/33 swordsman. Trying to get ahold of full plate next, elder willows are nice money, but I can destroy them to hell now, time to movin on up I think.
