The What Are You Playing Now Thread

Didn't see one up, and I'm curious to see what everyone else is up to.

Ninja Gaiden - Xbox Still haven't beaten it legit yet. Getting killed, no massacred by one of the bosses.
Metal Slug 3 - Xbox Another aggravating game. Determined to finish it.
Samurai Warriors - PS2 Musou attacks are always fun.

Ripsaw: is Samurai Warriors good? I looked at it and I like Dynasty Warriors, but I still haven't utterly finished Dynasty Warriors 3, let alone 4, so I hesistated to get it.

I'm almost finished with my 2nd time through on Knights of the Old Republic (PC). The first time I played lightside this time I'm playing dark side.

I've also been playing Dungeons & Dragons:Heroes (XBOX)and the Dungeon Siege expansion pack(PC).
I also just started playing Super Metroid (SNES).

I just picked that up for the GBASP myself. It's addictive, but simple. Great game.

Samurai Warriors is half good, and half bad. They took the Dynasty Warriors series and moved it to feudal Japan. The change of scenery is nice, but if you are used to the chinese names "Guan Yu", "Xiahou Dun", etc. it may take you a while to figure out who everyone is. Gameplay is similar to the rest of the series. Smash the square button for a while, hit triangle every once in a while, and hit circle if you're in trouble. The game is scaled to the level of the character you are playing, so a 20th lvl Yukimura will have trouble killing soldiers on his first board, even with fifth weapons and items. The game has an rpg element in that you now earn skill points, which can be used to earn a ton of passive skills which do anything from help you find better items, to block any incoming attacks while you are moving. They removed duels, but added a horrible castle type level that proves more annoying than entertaining. Some of the items are also separated by Field and Castle signifiers, so they will only be active on their respective type of board. However, some of the missions, called Siege, combine the two. You have to pick and choose which you want to use. I could go on, but suffice to say, if you like the DW series, you should be amused by this game for quite a while.

FF5... I am now jealous...

Mark of Kri is a very fun game but way WAY too short. It is retarded how short that game is... I miss the good old days where some games could take 100 hours of play time. Where have those days gone?????

Chronicles of Riddick - Suprised the hell out of me. The game not only looks great, but has some great gameplay to it as well. Definitely recommend this one.

Metal Gear: Twin Snakes - Can't get enough Metal Gear, even if it is a remake of the first two. Hideo is my hero.

EA Sports Fight Night - Love the total punch control. Finally a boxing game that feels like boxing. No more button smashing!

EA Sports MVP Baseball 2004 - I'm a baseball freak, and MVP hits the spot nicely. Great feel of a true baseball game, with only a few minor hiccups. Next year goes online with Xbox. Look out!

Mario Golf - Love Golf. Love Mario. Love Mario Golf.

Battlefield Vietnam - Got a new soundcard and speakers. Had to test them out. Oh and the game's fun as hell too.

no need to be jealous, if you have a ps2, there's no reason not to own the classic final fantasy games. you can grab the final fantasy anthology set, originally for the ps1, for 20 bucks nowadays. run out and pick it up. you get ff5 and 6, both are fine examples of the series.

All excellent choices, and most, most worthy of a replay or 12.

KotoR, playing through the dark side this time. [X-Box]

Lil, side note: Is it just me, or does the dark side of KotoR , seem equaly as hard to play as Light? It seems when i have to be bad, the Good way is always very tempting. Vice Versa, for when you are playing Light. It seem equaly hard to be Dark as it is Bad. Also seems that more people play through as the light side first witch is also quite interesting, lots of my friends played through light first. Mabey every one like the argueing with HK47, i know i loved it, meatbag.

Yeah, there's pretty much a consensus by all those who've played as light, then dark, that about 70% of the quests in the game are focused on light side Jedi. Of course, most of the Dark Side choices involve either 1) insulting someone, 2)killing someone, and not going on their particular quest.
