UT 2004 Questions
Greetings Everyone,
I have two more questions about UT 2004. First, I downloaded the new community packs from Fileshack but I don't know how to "install" them. How do I access the new maps? Second, I have run across players (on the full version) who can leave a translocator at a location (always near the flag) and they can use that translocator after several minutes (again to recapture the flag). How are they doing that? How can I do that? Thanks for any info and help you can offer. Thanks

Well, about your translocator, it would seem that all the player in question would have to do is not die, and he could reclaim that translocator disc. It's not an issue of time, just one of staying alive.

What version of the community packs did you get? If they are in UMOD version you can just run them like an application and they should auto-install ( you should not even have to define the path). If they are in zip format, you need to manually drag and drop all the files from each folder on the zip to your UT directory( IE: maps -> maps, textures -> textures etc )
Once you have done that you should see the new maps in your list in game.
