Sim Tower!
I just found my old Sim Tower CD and loaded it up. I forgot how fun this game can be.
I'm having a little problem though...maybe somebody can help me. I got my tower up to level 30, and built my 3rd lobby. I always start new elevators at each lobby. I started a new elevator at level 30, and took it up to level 35. I filled the space with condos, but noticed nobody was buying them. I looked at it's info, and it said there is No Transportation Connected! I rebuilt the elevator, made several elevators, and added more cars to each. Nothing works. It's like they aren't recognizing the new elevators that were started on level 30. Any idea what the hell is going on? I looked in the help file to see if there was any requirement I missed, but I saw nothing. Yes it is a standard elevator, and is set to provide service to all floors. I even tried an express elevator..that doesn't work either They recognize the old elevators when I drag them up, but they won't be able to reach the next lobby, on level 45. Anybody happen to know what the problem is? Last edited by todd; 06-09-2004 at 02:24 PM.. |

hehehe
you know that the black peice has to be above the floor you want to get to right? it's all "full of gears and pulleys" so the elevator can't fit in that section. I love this game. You can totally leave it on all night so you have lots of cash in the morning when you wake up.

Nope I haven't gotten any patches. The game is so old I doubt if there is even a website for it anymore. I'll check.
skier, yea the actual shaft of the elevator is on all levels, not the black end piece. Haha yea I did that the other day while I ate dinner and came back and had 20 million. Only thing that would suck is if there was a fire while you were gone. I've never had a fire happen though so I don't know what it looks like. |

Tenants will only make two changes in transportation to get to a floor. Otherwise you get the "no transportation connected" message. Build lobbies every 15 floors. Use the big express elevators to connect all the lobbies. Then use the small local elevators to connect the floors between the lobbies.

oh and fire will only destroy a limited portion of your tower, as well as a bomb. YOu can easily recoup your losses and rebuild in the morning.
