Insane

If anyone has heard commentary from E3, i think BLACK (the exclusive game). is the most overhyped game. Yeah yeah yeah, the gun shots are deafening blah blah blah, it's still just physics, and ideas, these qualitys are part of a good game but do not make up a good game entirely. and we've all seen physics and graphics go horribly bad, look at the OG game Sin, i think it was the first game that you could actually shoot holes in EVERYthing and go EVERYwhere, eh. sucked ass, might be why you never heard about it. anyway, you see my point

Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Eventhough I personally think it's gonna be really cool and I'll defintely watch it, it's not the earth-shattering event that everyone once thought it was going to be. But it's definitely gotten a helluva lotta hype.

I guess Driv3r could be one, I mean I haven't see anything ground-breaking yet and the Scott-Free production of Run The Gauntlet was absolute arse.

Star Wars Galaxies...what supposed to be the game to end all games And well I thought that it sucks. I'm sorry if someone out there thinks that I am wrong and I'm sorry that you have really bad taste in games.

HL 2 and D3 I would say would be pretty hyped.
D3 how many times can you take the same game to E3? release it already!

HL was awsome HL 2 if its as good or better was over hyped but would still be an awsome game. I know I will buy it.

Its not like Daikatana or anything

I agree with your perspective, although I wouldn't have a few years ago, before the Xbox and PS2 really got going visually. When I can pick up the same game on a console, not spend ten minutes installing it on my computer that cost ten times as much, and not suffer from instability and graphical/sound glitches, it's a wonder that PC gaming is as strong as it is. Yes, it looks better on the PC, and shooters and RTSs have superior control with the keyboard and mouse. But I think a lot of people are tired of the hassles and the price tag.

Regardless, Valve and ID are dead-set on delivering the most technologically punishing games they can muster. Why? Because they're able to do it and stand to gain millions from licensing the graphics engines for years to come. Keep in mind that the expansion pack for Call of Duty uses Quake III under its hood, which came out in 1999. They're not banking their fortunes on the games themselves. They don't have to.
