25 Great Videogame Soundtracks!

I own 7 Final Fantasy CD's - none the original soundtracks, but orchestral, piano, and choral arrangements instead. The other day, however, I was looking to get a particular song in the original sountrack version from FFVII and, knowing that I had seen sites with downloadable files of the FFVII full 4-disc soundtrack, I searched google.

What I found was awesome beyond my imagination

Not only did I find the FFVII 4-disc original soundtrack available for full download, but I found that it also had the FFVII Piano Collections available for download as well as 24 other games with soundtracks and sometimes other arrangements available for download!

So, check this stuff out, it's great! Just beware, the server is somewhat slow (5-10 minutes a song typically) and you can only download one song at a time. Nothing an automated script can't handle though

EDIT: Apparently there are pop-ups and other such nasties for people using IE. Be warned. I didn't notice it originally since I was browsing the page in Mozilla Firefox (Shameless plug for your own good )

Oh man. That some nice shit. I've already got quite a few of those songs, and I'll take a few more, especially for music that good, and for a list that begs to swell past 15000.

Symphony of the Night is by far my favorite VG soundtrack, before I picked up the CD, I'd just hang out in different areas to hear the music. The MGS2 Main Theme is awfully cool too.
I've heard that the FF Orchestral concert was really good, I may go and check that out.

Be sure to! One Winged Angel, Liberi Fatali, Aeris' Theme, and Tina's (Terra's) Theme are my 4 favorite from that concert - really amazing

What? No Tecmo Super Bowl? No ESPN Football (only the NFL Primetime music)?

The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"

Halo is actually in my top 10 list of cool music, though the variety isn't as wide as say Final Fantasy.

My favourite is the Baldurs Gate series. Extremely epic music, IMO moreso than most of the LotR music. Stupid stingy Interplay, removing the soundtrack...

Total Annihilation is awesome stuff - not sure where you'd get it (apart from off the game CD).

I always liked a lot of the music SquareSoft put out, I also like some of the music from various Castlevania games as well.

I thought about getting FireFox before, and after that Castlevania site.. I"m doing it right now. I've never had to deal with "install this!" so much.. you cancel and you then click OK.. .then it asks you again.. I could hardly press the back button (which didn't work, you had to use the drop down on the back button... argies.. FireFox here I come!)

The soundtracks from the Monkey Island series, and from Grim Fandango are the two best I've heard to date.
