Superpower
Has anyone else played this game? I recently picked it up at Wal-Mart for $10. It is a lot like the old games Shadow President and Cyber Judas. In Superpower, you can pick from almost any country in the world. You then run that country. You control production in your cities, can forge alliances with nations and can build and upgrade a military. Nuclear war is possible (you get to watch your missiles cross the globe) although it ticks everyone off. I find it great fun to pick a country like Bolivia and build up an empire. I find the lastest patch necessary, or the game is really buggy. ('Somalia invades Toronto' and such)Superpower |

I heard about this game 6 years ago. Back then, their ad brags about the state of art 3D effect they used to animate the missles.

I played it ages ago(atleast a year or 2 ago I guess), and while it was fun it was so buggy even with the patches that were out then, that I gave up on it.
If they patched it more since the last time I played it, then maybe it's more playable though.

I sorely regret this impulse-buy. $30 bucks just... *poof*

better then my impulse purchase of a game called 'Clans'. HORRENDOUS 3/4 overhead pers. 'action' game. If there were ever negative points to award a game, this would be it. At least it was bargained (in 1999) at $24.99.
Superpower - read a review of this game some years back. Reviewer had a funny article where he used this game to see how the outcome of current (at that time) events would unfold. Hilarity. |
