I've been playing this casually since release day. It isn't captivating where you HAVE to play it, but it is very enjoyable. If it wasn't Duke I would probably class it as a general shooter. Because of it is, then I have to say fully worth the purchase price.
Multiplayer - Some servers/ppl lag bad enough if it unplayable. If you get on a server with good connection then it is a great throwback to the 'twitch' shooters of PCs that seemed to get lost with weapon spread and 'controller friendly' warfare. I doubt the game would be as good on console, but I'm loving the PC version. |

^ yeah, that's crazy, and I don't get it. It's a video card. It goes inside your machine. What does it do differently? Does it have voice recordings of Duke one-liners?
As for the game: the 3D shooter genre is now ancient. You gotta do something to either challenge or raise the bar. |
