Vanguard
Looks like Brad McQuaid and his team finally released some info on Sigil's game, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.
Personally, I'm looking foeard to this more than WoW, or Lineage 2. Simply because of 2 things... it's Brad McQuaid (old school EQ was insanely fun. But since he left... not so much.), and the team they have is just phenominal. I mean, Thomas King makes the most beautiful UIs, and the other artists make some incredible drawings which would look great in game. Anywho, it looks like it'll be another 18-24 months til release, which makes me sad, but it sounds very, VERY interesting. Anywho, thought I'd share.

Brad McQuaid and the "Vision" he had for a mmorpg was always a bit disturbing to me. Isn't he a fan of a painful level treadmill and anti-pvp in all shapes and sizes?

A lot can be said about this topic, but it is far enough away there is no need. Just wanted to say there is a HUGE amount of information from their forums. The official site has a rather lengthy FAQ that can get anyone up to speed that is willing to read a bit.
Right now there are three fan sites that are keeping tabs of the day to day stuff: http://www.okratas.com I am obviously bias on this one http://vanguardlive.com/ http://vs.warcry.com/ Anyway, lots to look forward to I think...but it will be a bit before anything gets set in stone. Jdoe |
