In a galaxy far, far away I used to have an ancient machine called an Apple IIe. 2 games I still think are great are Archon and Auto Duel.

Auto Duel was similiar (in 2D) to Twisted Metal in combat, but the game didnt end when the battle was over in the arena. You drove around in the world between fights; playing an interactive character and buy new weapons to add or upgrade to your vehicle. Does anyone know of anything like that out today?

Archon; well hopefully you heard of it. With todays advancements I dont understand why this hasnt been done 3D. There is a site stating that it is in the works, but that site is two years old. Does anyone know anythng about this?

There was a vga version of archon, archo ultimate I think, which is slightly updated and available from abandonware sites.

Auto dual was a great game, it would be awesome with todays graphics

Archon was such a classic. I remember playing that on my old Commodore 64. Anyone know where I can download and play a version of it?
