Desert Combat night
Attention all TFPer's ...
I'm hosting a game Saturday night @ 7:30pm for all Desert Combat players from TFP! I think this might be a great opportunity for fellow TFP gamers to gather under 1 banner for a single night of fellowship. Teamspeak servers will be available upon request. Game address: dc1.abc.net no password needed Absolutely no foul language, cheating or exploiting will be tolerated.

It was pretty good. Wish we had more of a turnout, but I can't complain for the first run.

Just one request for next time: no more desertshield. or gazala. Some nice El Alamein, Bocage maybe, and Basrah's Edge would be damn nice.

It would have been more fun if there were good levels instead of No Fly Zone and the such. And playing the same map twice and three times? I got tired of it, especially when the tickets are big.
A valiant effort, but put in some El Alamein, Bocage, Basrah's Edge, and DC Lost Village. That's when the real fun starts

Any plans for another night in the works? I'd be up for it
Although for the love of God, no flying or boat maps! Cause well... Haven't quite got my wings yet, and I tend to fall off of the boats

I had a blast playing on the server, my ping was higher then I like it to be, but that's okay. How often do you plan on having the server up ? You'd mentioned it was a new setup, so I'm curious to know what your plans are. |

lol. I've been traveling this past week and haven't had time to look at TFP at all. I'm very glad to see that so many of you had a fun time playing in the server.
I won't be able to admin any games this Saturday, but perhaps next week (same time, place, etc)? I just got the admin controls a few days ago and haven't exactly worked out all the nuances... but I *do* know how to change maps! Playing on Gazala 10 times was getting on my nerves too. Our server admin was on vacation in Texas, so he wasn't around to admin DC himself or give out the priv's to others. Now, we're set. I've gotten the teamspeak server admin priv's too so if anyone out there has a microphone and is interested in talking while they play, then PM me and I'll get you setup. Not sure if I want to post the instructions outright in here to avoid the lamers that would come in and just cuss up a storm. Ask Gakface, muttering is ok. It gives him something to listen to. lol! "Bloody airplane... PULL UP! Stupid helicoptor..... dang IT!" ::tritium looks around innocently::

We're having a squad practice tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7:00pm EST in dc1.skullz.net if anyone is interested in joining us. Get in the server, and we'll set you up with teamspeak, if you'd like. (You'll need a microphone though)
See ya'll in the game!
