older games to play on lan?
So I have two computer courses this semester in school and the assignments are easy and most of us end up finishing them before the class is over.
Now all the school computers are all networked together and I'm looking to see what older, smaller sized games I can get on the computers to play with the other students to kill some time and have some fun. The catch is that every student gets their own storage space but only 50 megs is provided, and that we dont get access to installing programs but we can copy files. So I can't *install* a game but I can copy contents and get it working. So here's where I need your help-- I need to find a bunch of such games to install that you can play over a LAN on. We already have quake2 and unreal tournament, but I'm looking for other games in different genres too. Thank you for your help in advance! |

Quake III, possibly Alpha Centuari, possibly Diablo I, possibly a whole heap of things I don't know the minium install size on...
Edit: C&C Red alert would be a good choice and you don't know jack (any version that has network play)

we had a similar setup at my school.. if you have removable media like zip drives, you can easily run a game off that, and go into the command line and run the exe from there
GTA (the original one) was great to play during lab, also serious sam.. but that one will be bigger than the space you might have to work with.. Good Luck! |
