ESPN Basketball or Nba Street Vol 2?
What should i get for the ps2? I like both arcade and simulation styles.
Is the 24/7 mode really that good in ESPN? Do you play street/arcade style pickup games or what? |
NBA Street v.2 has more of an arcade feel than EPSN.
ESPN is a more well-rounded game with better playability. I would go NBA Street for the fun factor, and ESPN for the long haul. |
Get ESPN NBA Basketball. You can adjust the game's difficulty sliders to fit your style of play (Realistic to Arcade-style). NBA Street Volume 2 gets really old, really fast.

As for the 24/7 mode, I'll tell you from experiance that it is fun, but when you first start building some of your stats it can be hard as hell, i.e. freethrows.
As far as game play, well like the other ppl before me have said, ESPN is the total package. It is the best basketball sim currently on the market. |
i have nba street 2 and it's only rally fun to play for a little while, unless you have human players to play with. If you can get it used.. go for it, but do NOT pay over 30 for it.

I'd definately say ESPN. NBA Street in my opinion is a pretty sorry excuse for a basketball game. Since there's no rules you can sit in front of the hoop and literally block any shot. The whole game just seems cheap to me, especially when you get trick points for frickin basketball.
