Warcraft 3
I don't see any threads about WC3 here in this forum, does noone play it?
I just started again on Azeroth, I've got a record of 3-2 playing original WC3 4v4's (no expansion), so I'm not doing that bad, but I could use tips and strategies anyways. I prefer the undead, if you know an efficient build strategy or if you just have some general WC3 tips I'd appreciate it. What I do now is start the game, put 4 of the acolytes in the goldmine, make another acolyte and rally the goldmine, take the remaining acolyte and summon the hero building, a barracks and a ziggurat or two. I build my city so all of my buildings make a wall with one opening (covered by a ziggurat or two) for my own guys to get through. This is to keep invaders away from my town hall, and allows me to beat the shit out of people with ranged attacks on the other side. That's about it for my build strategy, let me know if it sucks or not.

I might start playin again now that the new patch is out. is playing random race, random, team 3v3. You should defiantly buy the Frozen Throne, it makes playing online ten times better.
As far as your build order, it all depends on your strategy. Always include you altar as one of the first buildings you build, and organize it so you never have to wait for a farm/zig to be built so you can build units, And with undead, never have more than five acolytes, just take one off the mine temporarily and use him to quickly summon a building.

I play WCIII Really hardcore. My record is something pretty good, have about 100 games or in that range played and 56 or so percent one. I play random so if you ever gimme a shout on Bnet I'll play a casual game with you and maybe you can join my clan for excersizes, yes we're that serious that we do excersizes, and if you are deemed good enough perhaps even join.
We prefer not to be called a Clan but rather a Team, because that is a much smaller, organized, tight nit union. So gimme a Whisper sometime. Gamer tag : Ponza-God Team Channel : Clan CTR CTR = Clan Team Rising.

Well I need some help setting up a LAN game.
I have both computers connected through a linksys router. Both computers are running WinXP (one home, one pro). I have opened up port 6112 in the router for both computers. There is no firewall on either computer. The problem is that I can't get the two comps to see each other. On the first computer I go to the LAN option on the initial screen, then I create a game. I go to the second computer but when I click on the LAN option on the initial menu I don't see the game I created on the other computer. Am I doing something wrong? Is there some setting I forgot about? Can someone walk me through the steps of setting up a LAN game. BTW battle.net does work for both computers so I am able to do some muliplayer gaming, just not LAN gaming. Please help. |

Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaah!!!
Check me out in this replay, just beat this guy. I think he was kicking my ass up until the last part where I destroyed him with my counter attack. I had a catapault handy for just such an occasion. http://home.wideopenwest.com/~Bdavid...Victorious.w3g 1 hour it took. Sheesh.

I think you need both keys for battlenet, I know you do for Diablo 2. Anyways, that's the same problem I have, only backwards. Legit Reign of Chaos, bootleg Frozen Throne.

I play a lot of TFT on mostly the lorderon server, but "Locobot" is registered on Azeroth too. I couldn't care less what my record is. I'm pretty sucky, whatever. I think the most fun games are those that where command and momentum change multiple times, even when I lose. Even being Backstabbed is funny sometimes, I had a guy just build arcane vault shops and produce hundreds of mechanical animals, that was great! It's also hilarious to me when teammates get mad and attack each other. I'll be looking for you tfp bnet kids, beware.

It's a shame it's so hard to backstab and such in WC3, in StarCraft you check a box and automatically all units attack- much easier But I agree, even if I'm on their team, seeing the idiots yell and scream and attack each other 1 unit at a time is good times.. Anyway, my name is the same here as on Bnet, I guess I'm about average, maybe I'll check that clan out for something to do when I go back after the break.
