Free Electronic Gaming Monthly and Gamepro subscriptions...

I came across this at another forum, and figured there would be a few here that would be interested in taking advantage of this offer.

There are no catches. The site(s) allow you to sign up for a free year subscription to the specified magazine.

Enjoy:

Take care.

EDIT: Sorry about double posting this. I did a search, but the search has been disabled now that we are on the temp servers.

This has been posted in the General Section already, but thanks for posting it in the Gaming Section. I, for one, never visit the General Section and would have never seen it if I didn't go there randomly.

These actually work, everyone. My GamePro has already came in. Take it up, it's not a joke!

Some of these don't work if you hyper-link them Grondar, so you might wanna change them to regular text and have users copy and paste them into the browser window. Just a suggestion!

it takes a while for them to come in, BuddyHawks. That last nine (yes, 9 at one time) free magazines I signed up for said it would take two-three months to begin.

If I sign up for the EGM offer and I already have a subscription to it, will it add it on top of my subscription or give me two issues a month?

I'd guess two issues a month. Didn't stop me from trying, though!

They never bill you? My subscription to EGM runs out in sometime in '04 so I'll sign up for it.

I use IGN for PC reviews and Electronic Gaming Monthly for console reviews. IGN is internet-based while EGM is a magazine. IGN does console reviews as well, but I trust EGM moreso in that department. EGM doesn't do PC reviews, so I had to get a professional company that does -- IGN.

My impression of IGN is that they would give a rotting piece of meat a 4.5/5 if it bought some advertising space. Then again, I also think Gamepro is one of the worst magazines on earth for the same reason.

That's what most people seem to think, simply because if you don't have an Insider account with them, the site has a lot of ads on it. Have you actually read the reviews? Remember that below 8 isn't considered good on IGN. The average PS2, XBox, and GC games on there get somewhere between 5 and 7 (yes, I calculated it for this very reason). How can they be accused of biased for money when the average game gets bad reviews? The PC game average is even LOWER than this.

I rarely ever disagree with IGN. I know that many times I go with EGM's opinion over IGN's, but it doesn't make them a bad reviewer, and certainly not a biased-for-money company. If you can show me a review that's higher than it should be because of money, then link it right here.

PS: I'm not a big GamePro fan either, but when it's free, I'm all for it.
