I remember playing Bard's Tale when it first came out for the Apple II. Great game, very fun, though the bard songs were annoying (all music sounded annoying from the crappy piezo my box had.

I'm looking forward to this game.

Holy shit, you thought they were annoying?? I remember playing the Bard's Tale 3 on my commadore 64... Man I loved those songs that would play over and over to death. Years later when I learned to play the piano and guitar, I even took the time to transcribe them over so I could learn to play them myself. This of course was only after like a month of failures in trying to download the midis somewhere off the web.

Bard's Tale 1, bro, not 3. 3 had better music, and also remember that I said that I had an Apple. I could fart more musically than that computer.

Yep I was one who brought it orginally for the ZX Spectrum & C64. It is still a great game and I still ocassionally play it.

OHHH that was too much

I just picked this game up today and messed around with it for a little while. I was surprised it was already out as there was seemingly little fanfare surrounding it.

All I can see for now is that I'm very impressed with the game. The humor is really funny (as you can tell from their website), and it doesn't dumb it down for the player. The game is lewd, it's crude, and very well done. The voice acting is good, the graphics are pretty good, the combat is...well, I'm not a good person to be commenting on that. I usually play games on medium so I tried this one on hard to start off. I'm on one of the first quests and I must have had to reload the game at least 10 times, for a pretty easy quest. So combat seems fun, but I can't say much more than that because I'm kind of a slow learner.

I'll just say that I'm quite impressed with what I've seen to this point. I haven't played enough to really be able to tell, but I think I like it better than Fable so far.

that is excelletn, almost sad that I did NOT pick up the game today while in EB after standing in line for 2 hours to vote.
