Xbox Question.
Sugery looms next week, and I may or may not be receiving an xbox bundle tommorow. So a few questions:
1) The Xbox bundle claims to come with 2 months of free xbox live, does it include the disc to set up xbox live? What does the actual live kit cost and come with thus far? 2) What are some good games to relieve boredom that don't require too much thought, seeing as how i'll be half drugged to death? 3) Anything else that would be great to pass time in a half-drugged stupor? And for those of you that are wondedering, i'll be having my second total ear reconstruction, as the 3 little bones have broken again, and my eardrum has 2 holes. This has happened before, i've also had a clestetoma, and tubes, and a doctor ripped one of the tubes out before it was supposed to come out, causing all the other problems. (I apologize for sticking this in the wrong forum a minute ago.

* SSX 3 is a great game that doesn't require too much thought - though it's not online. (Amped is, but I haven't played that yet.)
* KOTOR's a hell of a lot of fun, but probably not great if you're not all there. * Kung Foo Chaos is a great platformer that requires no firing neurons, though if laughing will hurt, steer clear. Those should get you started.

I know I know, this is stupid. But Halo is a givin, if you get an Xbox, you have to get it. Just my opinion.
Also, what type of games do you like? I like the FPS Shoot'em up games! I thought the X-Box Live was pretty much plug'n'play. But I have never had it, so I couldn't tell you much there. I just looked on Google real quick and did find this. Quote:

Xbox connect is one of the things Lasereth is referring to, you can always find games going on it, but theres almost always lag. Gamespy has a xbox client too, I dont know the name of it though. You need to have your xbox on a network with your computer that is connected to the internet. This may mean that you need a 2nd networking card, if you want to plan ahead. Also a crossover ethernet cable if you dont have a switch/router/hub and a patch ethernet cable if you do.

I am addicted to Live, I can't quit playing Ghost Recon, Rainbow6, TopSpin, Crimson Skies... ARGH... Never Tried any of the Xbox Live emulators... Patiently waiting for Halo2 rather than trying Halo over Lan over PC...

I can't understand why people keep saying, "Its not that great if you don't have broadband" etc etc.
Are you all telling me that there are people who play Xbox Live *without* cable or DSL? If So, are they CRAZY? And how come I've never come across these types? AS far as Halo over Lan over PC - it seems complicated at first, but its actually quite simple, and very rewarding int he end. |

Best of my knowledge you can't run Live over anything but Broadband. However, you can use dialup if you use Xbox Tunnel or any of the others.. LAG FEST. Even with 1024down and 248 up I can host 4 to 6 on live. T1 is REQUIRED for most games w/ 8 or more players. Live is very bandwidth intensive.
