I hope that no one that works at SOE is reading this thread, because I'm breaking the NDA, but.. this game is pretty lame so far. Imagine WC3 with more detailed [i.e. lag-inducing on a GF4] graphics, clumsier controls, and overpowered tier-1 units, and you have LoE in a nut-shell.

Also, there appears to be no single player campaigns at all, and so no story and nothing to interest me. One thing that keeps me playing WC3 is the amazing custom maps that some people make thanks to the map editor -- something else that LoE is missing and which will probably never be released if SOE has anything to say about it.

Haha. Yea, it does kind of suck so far. Not that I play it or anything. But yea, I hope they release it with singleplayer campaign or whatever. And custom maps.

I have heard some bad things about it so far. The graphics are sweet but the gameplay really lacks. For being a Blizzard-killer app it lacks the Blizzard shine.

You do realize that the beta is only for testing online play and balance and not to test the single player campaign, right?

Not that i'm defending SOE, I think this game will be complete crap...

Yeah, the graphics are over intensive, but currently they have it near peak to test capabiility.

Graphic processing will likely be streamlined close to last like most other games.

'cept.. heh. EQ of course, had box charactars during its beta.
