Leisure Suit Larry 8

Quote:
Larry Cum Laude!

College is tough for Larry - between classes, fraternities, and odd jobs there's hardly time for parties and chasing girls. So when a dating show comes to campus, Larry knows that getting on TV is his best chance ever to lay more than groundwork. Can Larry get on TV, get the girl, and not flunk out of college? It's all up to you in Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude!

Magna Cum Laude brings back humor from the most respected funny brand on PC - Leisure Suit Larry. Updated for the 21st century with 3D graphics, engaging conversations, and a fully realized college campus, Larry is back to give gamers some loving. Coming to PC and consoles.
I Don't know how the game is gonna be. Al Lowe said he has nothing to do with it so the classic humor might not be there. I have high expectations though.

I'm all over this sleaze.

Larry's come a long way since the Lounge Lizards.

I dunno. I still giggle at the thinly veiled innuendo. It's made me the person I am today. Not sure if that's necessarily a good thing or not yet. Heh.

i remember thinking how cool the other games were, and now we are going to have a better graphics engine running this one! It's going to rule. It will do better than the remake of police quest which I also enjoyed.

Well... Sierra also said for almost a Year that they were going to make "Space Quest 7" but it got put off.. and put off... and finnaly canceled. So I'm not holding my breath.

I used to be E-mail buddies with Al Lowe. Quite a Funny guy. I used to pester him all the time as a young, budding 16 year old.

Looks like Sierra actually listened to the fans' legit complaint about the lack of Al Lowe in this game, because now he's "in talks" with Sierra. Here's what his web site says (http://www.allowe.com/L-8news.htm )

For the thousands of you who have written and expressed support of me becoming involved with the new game, I have news: your efforts are being heard. I have been in contact with Sierra many times over the past week and, while nothing is finalized yet, today Sierra's legal department said I could release the following (grammatically challenged) message:

"Currently, I am in the process of negotiations with Vivendi Universal Games and my involvement with the next installment of the Leisure Suit Larry. Once we have reached an agreement I will be able to comment more on my involvement."

This is the best news I've heard in a while! Hopefully he will get a significant voice in the final release of the product. Larry without Al Lowe would be just far too sad. His input on the new game might actually get me to buy it.

I have no idea what y'all are talking about, but it sounds like a fun series, going by your enthusiasm.

Can you give me your opinions on what Leisure Suit Larry is about and what type of game it was, please?
You know, platformer, adventure, et al.

Liesure Suit Larry was/is an adventure game that came out during the "Golden Years" It came out about the same time as Space Quest, Kings Quest and Hero's Quest.

Your basic quest in every game, was to.. get laid as much as possible.

I never played LSL 7.. And I don't want to get an old 95' machine to play it.. Maybe they'll package some of the older games in with this new installment, like Escape from Monkey Island did..
