hmm, The longest I played a video game was probaly 18 hours (used to play everquest which I regret now), However, I used to live next to a friend who played EQ I swear he played for 65 + hours straight I just checked every 2 hours waiting for his light in his room with his comp to go off 2 days later its still on, Im sitting there thinking what the hell is he on?

I stayed up 2 days straight then a couple hours of sleep then another day playing Super Mario World when it first came out. I was like 9 at the time, and ended up getting a nosebleed because of blood pressure or something. Scared the hell out of my parents though, so was kind of worth it.

The cyberathelete professional league (www.thecpl.com) hosts wicked 5 day LAN parties...once in the summer and once in the winter. The CPL parties remind me of E3 with a big LAN attached.

I wasted almost 36 hours of my life play Star Wars Galaxies(or should I say the sims?)

I'm not sure what's the longest I've played...but it was probably around 12 hrs, when a friend let me borrow his SNES with Super Mario World. :)

Diablo II was my sleep killer, I would play it till 3 am every day then load it up at work and play it most of the day through got through it twice before the expansion came out the finished it again.

Counterstrike with friends, 9 in the morning till 3-4 at night for weeks at a time. This was when we first got into it.

I played Unreal Tournament Online for 15 hours straight. When it was all done, I was suprised at how much time had past. I thought I had only been playing for an hour or two. I guess I should have looked out the window more.

The day I bought Thief 2 the metal age.
I started at 4 pm then look at the clock and it was 5:30 am.

For me it would have to be about 14 hours for Baldur's Gate. Damn that game was awesome.

Not sure of the length of time, but the longest game I've played @ night was single player Half-life.

48 hours playing Phantasy Star Online on Xbox Live.

I believe the longest for me was about 24 hours, i start playing those FPS's and i lose track of time

I just made my limit the other night, 13 hours of Quake 3 tourny

raid, get rare drop, get amiable faction, side quests like that #$@#$ ancient cyclops.... gets so monotonous so i had to play cs for a couple of hours, then back to EQ. about 3 days straight... my gf freaked out when she found out i dint sleep for 3 days. EQ does ruin lives, and when you think about it, its not that fun either! you spend 20 hours to get an extra 50 hp, wow. now does anyone despise a game they used to love? i can not stand EQ at all, i hate myself for spending all that time in that game.

EDIT: Oh yeah, this was during the raving days. so i would drop some E and go run around Norrath all day listening to trance on my laptop, and when you drop E, you tweek for days easily.

Gran Turismo 3, Res. Evil, and Silent Hill has cost me many gaming hours. My top would be anywhere between 10-12 hours in one sitting, only one toilet break and munchie run.

I have a bit of a compulsive personality that causes me to play games that I become addicted to straight through to their conclusions. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and KOTOR (xbox) are two of the games the I played every waking moment until I beat them which would normally include 12-16 hour binges. The most addicted I had ever been to any video game was Quake on PC. That remains my favorite game and I can't tell you how many 1000s of hours I devoted to it. I would still play today if others were interested.

when the first gran turismo came out, i remember taht i stayed up with no washroom breaks or eating breaks for 9 hours straight, i can't believe that i even did that

Ah geeze, there are so many games that I can marathon play it's not even funny. I've gone probably 18 hours on a few final fantasy games. I've went about 8 hours playing Dynasty Warriors 4 (I have no idea how I kept my sanity). These are the wonders of being a jobless college student. Unfortunately that means a lack of money though, which I tend to dislike.

14 hours, I was playing worms with 3 friends. We all dreamt about worms that night....

~5 hour playing a F1 racing sim. Me and a friend simulated a whole racing weekend, including training, warm-up etc. and finally the 2 hour race - I won :)

hmmm...around 24ish hours playing Baldur's Gate 2. As a kid, I don't think I ever played more than 3 or 4 hours of games at a time--Mom always kicked us outside after a few hours.

on new year's eve two years ago, i play metal gear solid from 4 pm to 2:30 in the morning only taking a break for supper. i started playing it the day before and got pretty far in it. so i beat it on new year's eve. i beat the game in only two days

this sounds like my addiction with LoD. My saving grace was when my dad accidentally ran over my LOD CD with the computer chair. Normal Diablo II wasn't the same, and I went on with my life. Did take out more than my share of SOJ's when i went offline though.

me and a friend started silent hill 2 around 6-7pm and didn't go to sleep till we beat it at 5 in the morning. so that makes it about 10-11 hrs.

hmm lets see.. tanking on mountain dew and mini thins.. two friends of mine and I stayed up for two weeks straight..

but we slept for a straight 72 or so hours after wards.

let me tell ya.. near the end we were seeing all sorts of shit. and half that time was with out food. you dont want to see a person trying to go to the bathroom with nothing but liquids for two weeks straight.

we played total annihilation, wc2, and delta force landwarrior. oh gods i still have nightmares about it.. ahh the joys of youth.

now with diablo lod i still stay up all night.. go to work crash.. wake up after 2 hours of sleep and play again.. then the weekend gets here.. I put a stop to that.. cuz litterally i was missing out on the growth of my kids and my wife put it plainly that .. well she was a bit lonely.. lol..

i play spareingly.. i gave a crap load of stuff to someone on tis forum.. just the other day.. was in irc and met them in a game lol. (sorry if i cant remember who you were.. im really tired still from that day)

31 hour LAN stint with Soldier of Fortune. Took a lot of soda, and even more aspirin.

Till 4:30am starting @ around 9-10pm

The longest I ever played Everquest was around 18 hrs one day when the wife was out of town with the kids. Four or five hours is the most I can do at any one sitting these days. I just get too bored with it.

Any HALO fans out there!!?!! :D Thought so. When I first got it I played it all the way thru. Took 11 hours. Second time on harder level took 5 hours. Go figure. I think i was too blown away by the game at first but after that I wanted to slaughter the Flood.
