if your not familiar with the game...its a mmog based on ww2 blitzkrieg...

the games has its faults but its the best game i have ever played and i have been playing it for over 2 years now


movie shows some basic gameplay....its actually from an older patch so there has been some changes but i think this shows the coordination aspect needed to win the game

WWIIOL is a game for the people that don't like Quake style FPS's if you are looking for instant action etc...Even with the latest patch they introduced "depot spawning" where you get to spawn into the contested town, which gives that instant action that it was missing, but with a price which is CAMPING. Camping is so horrific in this game it ruins the whole ground war! It's not the players fault i'd blame it on CRS for making the mechanics of the game like that but stilll...if you dont like to get camped dont play this game!!!

I've been playin it for 2 years and have 4000+ Stuka kills, so i know what i'm talkin about too! :)

oh, i loved that game, i just tried the trial... once i get a steady job I might subscribe.

The game was horrible.

Unless they made major, major changes to it...well it is still horrible.

20-30 minutes to find any action....it is not noob friendly by any means. You actually have to read the manuals in order to go in and start playing.

This game was probably one of the 5 worse launched games of all time in terms of bugs and instability of everything.

lots have changed since u have played....there is now depot spawning which means u can spawn in the town where the nme is at.....so 5 seconds after spawning you can shoot at the nme....

So let me get this straight, just because the game had a horrible launch means it still sucks 2 years later?

Sure there are some bad aspects (camping) but the level of teamwork and coordination is unrivaled by any other game.

I think I am sold...anyone else played/playing this game?

The only thing I am afraid of is buying it (like Ultima Online) and then realising it is impossible to build up my character to an acceptable level without living in the damn game...I do have a dayjob, ya know!! ;)

OK, so i downloaded it and signed up....but now my account just says "INACTIVE" and i cant get the damn thing working :(

This is really annoying, as I wanted to play this game while at the office today! ;)

I can name a game that has better gameplay and coordination.

Go to infantry from SOE and check out any of the leagues.

Well not all the leagues but Skirmish, IGBL and CTFP all have very good team work on a smaller scale...say squad level size instead of regiment.

I was not basing the game on two years ago but one year ago and I was just giving an opinion that was my own. I also said that unless they made MAJOR, MAJOR changes, which I guess you guys are saying they have but the graphics were not very good then and I do not think they are that great now and like I said it was not very new player friendly and I do not see that changing any time soon either.

on average we have 20-30 guys on a night and co-ordinate with 2-4 other squads at a time to take towns

actually i think if you download the game you get thirty days free....

i think you have to pay to download it for the 30 day trial but its damn cheap...hell u can pick up the game at most electronic stores in the bargin bin
