Final Fantasy XI is near! Let the countdown begin! 19 days as of 10/9/03.

So, those of us that are excited, what class are you going to be? What race?

I won't get excited until it gets good reviews! I still have my doubts since it sucked HORRIBLY in Japan. If I do play it, I'll be some type of warrior though.

Um, im not sure how you mean, sucked horribly in japan. It actually ended up doing quite well, well enought to bring it to the states and make 2 expansion packs. Ive played the beta, and its awesome. I know this is just one mans opinion, but you will see the final fantasy craze hit soon.

when is there not a ff craze when they put out a game...don't get me wrong, ff games are usually pretty good, but square could just crap in a case and call it ffx3 or 13 or whatever the hell the number is right now, and it would hit greatest hits on playstation in minimum time...

I played it and loved it, and I'm getting it on Oct 28th when it comes out.

Hopefully I have enough cash left over after buying a new comp to afford the game. After FFXI I'm gonna have to grab BF1942 and NWN:Shadows of Undrentide, and then I'll be set.

Like a website where I can read what its based on and a list of classes/races?

I may have to buyz0r this.

Edit:NM found their website,although they didnt disclose how to become a Dark Knight,which is the class i would choose :/
