How Much Do You Love Gaming?

So how much? Is it your entire life? Most of it? Half? None? I would have to say a little less then half. Friends and sex(of course) still rank at the top.

Lasereth 10-05-2003 05:22 AM

Well, I can easily say that it's been my number 1 hobby for the psat 10 years. I used to be a huge anime fan, but now I'm more of a gamer. Some things pass by...comics, anime, cars...but videogames have always stayed with me. :)

as a college student games are a big part of my life and they have been all my life, i can remember going to buy my nintendo with my dad. as for a percentage of my life i would have to say 40%, but at times it has been 60% or maybe even 80%!!!

Bamrak 10-05-2003 07:27 AM

I hate it.. I played from 7 am yesterday to 3 am, today looks like an 8 am to 11 pm day, which is an average weekend

LaughingCow 10-05-2003 09:00 PM

I'd say a lot. Most of the time I'm either gaming or reading about games to continue my gaming with. In fact I probably spend too much time gaming. That's not to say I'm actually good at the gaming I do, but I enjoy it.

fuzzix 10-05-2003 09:27 PM

I've neglected gaming the past few years, in the days of the SNES and Genesis I used to play all the time, but I never really got into the next gen consoles and my computer was only briefly able to play the new games that were coming out. That said, I have heaps of pc games on my shelf, and hundreds of roms which I like to play for short periods. Gaming is probably my third or fourth biggest hobby, it doesn't take over my life, but I really enjoy it.

Mr.Deflok 10-05-2003 09:37 PM

Shitloads, and being a manager at EB Games doesn't help.

At the moment I have so many games to play that I can't decide which one I want to pick up during my gaming time, in fact I get so confused that I end up not playing anything!

Just last week I spent $300 NZD on games.

hansthemolemann 10-06-2003 12:43 AM

For a while school began to suffer so I forced my self to cut the amount of time I spend on the computer in general down, I got all my prioritys streight, now takes its about 20% of my time, which is my free time...

Xiangsu 10-06-2003 12:49 AM

Games are a big part of my life. If I lost games I might read more and do productive things, creative things, and all around evil things.

AxByC 10-06-2003 06:21 AM

i dont know i think my desire for pc/console gaming is dying :( just about every game ive played this year ive gotten bored with within a day or 2. lately learning php has been more fun to me :(

Skifter2 10-06-2003 07:00 AM

It depends on the area of gaming.

Traditional board and card games take up far less time than i would like.
Computergames, in the form of MMORPGs, take up much more time than i would like :) ( I am getting better though, i dont play every single day, and i havent had a 24 hour session for years :) )

Games as a whole take up a lot of my time. I think it is one of the most interesting ways of interacting with other people.

IckUber 10-06-2003 07:06 AM

Yeah, im a gamer, games are awesome, and yeah.....games.

don't be sad.. learning something is always more productive than spending countless hours on somehting that, in the end, doesn't really matter so much.. nor have any real result..

^^

cas305 10-06-2003 10:38 AM

I am a gamer at heart! Love video, board, card, etc. I am in my thirties and hope to be playing till the day I die. Me and my son will play games for hours!

cradeg 10-06-2003 11:40 PM

:)

i am honest ... games are sometimes the only good thing in my life, when all is shit games get me and ...

and as a matter of fact i work all day so i can spend money on the good things in life .. like my gf / games / food :)

Gaar 10-07-2003 02:12 AM

I couldn't get any more of a fan if i tried, i am 18 now, i was born and played a vic 20 back when i was a nipper, then moved through comps.
Everyday i am on a game of some form, i get home from work and like to relax on a game etc....

Eat Gaming
Sleep Gaming
Drink Coke..... gaming

Phaenx 10-07-2003 11:26 AM

Depends on the game really. I normally look at it as a waste of time, but when something really good is out I'm the biggest nerd on the planet.

stinkynutz 10-08-2003 10:50 AM

I love gaming a lot. If I could, i'd play often. but i'm very busy these days with college/work/girlfriend. so, i'd say i'm only spending 2 - 5% of my time on gaming.

Zerakule 10-08-2003 12:41 PM

Couldn't live without my games.
Playing a combination of Dark Cloud 2, Savage, and Natural Selection right now.

nothingx 10-08-2003 04:00 PM

I love games about this much (holding fingers approximately two inches apart) more than I love life itself.

TerresqueÜ 10-08-2003 05:17 PM

It's far too much of mine. I love to game. Gives me a great feeling, but I have no trouble stopping to do something more important, ex. family, school, work, etc...

BuddyHawks 10-08-2003 07:41 PM

How much do I love games you ask? Does 20 answer your question? No you say?
Well I play computer games often. And by often, I mean much more than often.
The only thing I dont like about games is paying for them.HEHEHE.

juanvaldes 10-08-2003 08:05 PM

not as much as I used to, mostly don't have the time with school and shit, do other things with my free time now and well, lots of games SUCK nowadays. Pretty graphics dont' get me off, and that's all they seem to put time into doing a quality job on.

DownwardSpiral 10-11-2003 11:03 AM

Games are a bug part of my life as well, without games I just may be lost.

I hear you brother, they retain my sanity on most days.

Mr. Spacemonkey 10-11-2003 11:32 AM

Without games would there really be any point in living?

Dibbler 10-14-2003 08:24 AM

I've been playing video games for 28 years. I became hooked with my Pong system I go for Christmas when I was 12. Since then I've had just about every system except for the Turbografx and the Nintendo 64. Actually I have a game room set up in the basement with 18 consoles set up ready to run. I use the "big screen" tv for the newer systems and an older tv to run the older systems (i.e. Pong, 2600, Intellivision etc...) since they won't work with newer tv's. I still spend a lot of time playing Star Control for the Genesis and the original Need for Speed on the 3DO. XBox Live is still the best thou.

jujueye 10-14-2003 08:37 AM

I really started with Half Life, so I'm rather new to all of this, but have really let it get way into my life. I love the long story-based games and how they track like a good novel or movie. I spend an hour or two per evening (DINK household) but I imagine with kids it would lower considerably. Until then.....bring it on! I love it!

WhoaitsZ 10-14-2003 09:40 AM

been gaming for 20 years. atari 2600, the nintendo....... now tons of consoles reside with me. i own 12 consoles.

it has helped me tremendously at slowing down my disease process in the hand area. w/o gaming, my hands would probably be drawn up. instead, my finger are extremely flexible.

and besides............. imagine all the people we'd have to kill in r/l with GTA3?!?!:P

G5_Todd 10-15-2003 07:08 AM

i cant rate it.....but as long as i have my games im never bored...they keep me out of trouble and stop me from wasting $$$ buying stuff i dont need just because im bored

krazixs 10-15-2003 07:23 AM

It's been a love however recently with new resposibilities in my life it has fallen to a lower priority

Beltruckus 10-15-2003 07:49 AM

I would have to say 35% of my time right now goes into games which is alot if you consider have to work and sleep too. i've been playing games since I was 6 or 7 thats when we got first nintendo.

nukeu666 10-15-2003 01:04 PM

i learnt to use <load"*",8 / run> on my commodore when i was 3...even be4 i knew how to read or write :D
