'LOTR: RETURN OF THE KING' PC Demo!
Out of the blue it's landed on the net:
http://www.gamesdomain.com/demos/demo/1901.html Quite a small download too, just started now, unfortunately I've gotta go out and won't be back for a few hours so I'll waiting for a while to play it. Take a look, should be good, hopefully it isn't as linear as TTT was on the PS2. |

It's been on 3dGamers for a couple days now
I gave it a try, it only has one level and you play as Gandalf. I've never played TTT on PS2, so I found playing it a bit difficult since I has almost no idea what to do aside from "DON'T DIE". Took me a couple tries to beat it, but I eventually did. I'll give it a try when the full game comes out. |

well, in my opinion they can only get better after that PS2 effort with TTT.
linear and boring. it was almost as if it was only made to promote the upcoming moive, TTT... no, they´d never do that would they?? thanks for the tip Deflok... downloading now.

Just played it, didn't beat, but I did get beat by some trolls! It looks beautiful and play great. The situation was a "don't die" sort of thing which kinda sucked but it was still a joy to watch and play. The console versions have a lot to live up to seeing as how good the PC counterpart is.
But like Bundy said it'll probably be like TTT, linear and boring, maybe a good rental. |

wow, pretty nifty. never played a mouse controlled beat-em-up before. not sure how far they can take this idea though, i uninstalled it after beating it twice .
for those of you having trouble with it, you can hold down shift and click to shoot with your staff. you can also hold down shift and a mouse button to charge up your shot. gandalf also has some area-stun move if you hold down both mouse buttons and charge it for a little while. would be interesting to see if they can pull off some decent netcode for coop ;D |

I've got my PC Gamer infront of me right now and there are actually five new LOTR games coming out.
Return of the King - like the PS2 Two Towers War of the Ring - Think Warcraft 3 LOTR: Battle for Middle-Earth - Think C&C Generals Middle-Earth Online - Online RPG The Hobbit - Action/Adventure. Looks like fun cartoon graphics. There are also many awesome LOTR mods to about any game that just need to be downloaded. |
