Half-Life 2 Source Engine DirectX 9 Demo Movie
http://downloads.ign.com/objects/605/605438.html
Haven't actually downloaded yet myself but everyone's saying they're jizzing their pants over it, including the women. IGN says it's a movie but the file they're hosting is an EXE which leads me to believe that it may be a rolling demo that could perhaps be used for benchmarking purposes (something that was supposed to be released to the media on the 30th). Anyway, take a look, I've just started DL'ing it. |

Yep, got that when it came out. Totally amazing technology.
The glistening on the alien, the shine on the metal roofs, lots of technological breakthroughts. And I love how the sunlight 'burns' through the roof in the beginning. Such a cool effect. Although I'm sure the video is done with all settings on max, with a Radeon 9800 Pro with 256 memory |

antagony got that shiz... makes it even harder to wait until it comes out. I can't wait to get my hands on some mod-able code.

Has anyone seen the machine specs yet? IE: the minimum, recommended and "Killer" box to run this game?
I am looking at a sale on the Athalon 2400+ XP. I am hoping that, in conjunction with my GeForce 4 and a slug of RAM will do a decent job on this bad motor finger. Anyone?

Well you might want to get a DX9 Compatible Video card, but everything else seems nice.

Looks good to me! Wow. Some of the textures weren't that great (like the ground, or wooden areas) but the lighting and reflections simply kicked ass.
