TFC > all!
Anyone else have a ton more fun playing TFC than say CS or any other Halflife mod? I dunno what it is, but TFC is just so much damn fun. My current favorite map is Dustbowl, though I'm definetly partial to Turkeyburgers, and Hunted as well... If you didn't guess I basically always play as a sniper

no I've never liked it. CS is the ultimate halflife mod imo, I hated the classes thing.

i love tfc too and i prolly play it more than cs.
i like it cuz u dont have to wait till the entire team dies before u can respawn. i'm not into waiting. also, there are lots of classes to choose from and i LOVE playing sniper. i own at most of the maps i play and my favorite is 2fort. (god i love 2fort!). dustbowl is also lots of fun regardless of which team you are on. i usually like to defend cuz i'm into sniping. also, i've found out that sniping in tfc and playing cs at the same time improves your skill at both games.

First off, tf2 is never comming out.
Secondly, what do you guys play as? Thirdly, I have always liked this game, but never became very good at it. That is why I like it. I can suck, and still have a ton of fun.

Enemy Territory is fantastic. TFC has some value to it, especially for some nostalgia gaming here and there.. but otherwise I never touch it. I can't really praise ET enough. Its a fantastic game and its free.

Is ET another mod for halflife? I'll have to check that out. I also like the instant fun aspect of TFC as opposed to CS. That and the fact that while players can be very good at TFC, there aren't any of the incredibly good people as there are in CS that just make it basically impossible to play. Maybe I just suck at CS, but I get killed every single round, and I can never hit what I'm aiming at, so it just ends up being frusterating, while I can usually be in the top 5% of the server for TFC. Maybe it's just that I've been playing TFC forever and have gotten practiced, but its a lot more fun to just jump into, unlike CS where you really have to spend a lot of time to be good. Also, I really suck at sniping in CS, I dunno what the deal is... maybe its just that my reactions are slow cause I'm so used to the charge up shot of the sniper rifle in TFC, but I dunno...

I played the crap out of Halflife TFC back in college. Never got into CS. Didn't like not being able to respawn. I played TFC again recently when the Steam beta came up, but all the players were frigging experts on the aspects of every map so it was no fun. I loved being the HW guy, with that massive chaingun. People threw grenades at me, hoping I would just stand there and keep firing, but I always ran. And mowed them down. Rawr!

Enemy Territory is a completely stand alone and free product. It was originally going to be the expansion pack for Return to Castle Wolfenstein... The single player aspects of the game were lagging and lacking, so the game was canceled. But the excellent multiplayer, developed by Splash Damage, was released completely free.
Its a WW2 game with classes, and RPG elements as you level up as you kill/achieve objectives etc. Campaign mode lets you play across all the maps and retain your experience build up... You can find it here: http://games.activision.com/games/wolfenstein/
