Afterthoughts on Character Battle at Gamefaqs
 

Has anyone else noticed this but me? It seems that this year, Square Fanboyism has finally surpassed Nintendo Fanboyism. If I remember correctly, Link, Samus, and Mario, 3 of Nintendo's most revered old-guard, were all beaten out by Square characters.

i agree, cloud and sephiroth beat some tough contenders such as mega man. It may be because of the multiple up coming FF titles such as CC, tactics advanced, X 2, and FF online. because with that little bundle of games they cover practially every system except xbox i believe . so now the nintendo fans have their own chunk of FF to have again.

Now that square has gone back to nintendo..the fans are cheering for glee again

I will burn the gamecube factories to the ground.

Nintendo must be made to suffer for the evil it has inflicted upon us.

It's RPG fans who are flocking to GameFAQs for the walkthroughs, after all. Mainstream platform fans probably just play.

uh, yah...

only reason I goto that site. But I voted Link because FF7 was by far the worst FF ever.

Don't know about VII being the worst, didn't care much for VIII, but I still liked both of them to a degree. FF games, even at their worst still seem enjoyable to me. Well except for Mystic Quest.

Wow, someone else who thinks that FF7 isn't all that great. I was starting to think I was all alone. I wasnt too fond of FF8 either. 6 is the best for me.

FF7 is the BEST, FF6 is the second best.

Anyways, now that that's said, I agree - chances are most people who go to GameFAQs are RPG players.

Aside for that, most Square characters ARE cooler than Nintendo characters ;)

Utang, sorry, but Samus lost to Link, who then lost to Cloud.

Tom Nook < Crono

Bowser < Cloud
Aeris < Sonic
Crono < Mario (in a very controversial rematch much like the original match was, for anyone who knows about it)
Mario < Sephiroth
Link < Cloud

It turns out 50/50, but Square took home 1st and 2nd this year. Remember though, last year Nintendo took home 1st and 2nd, when Link beat Mario in the Final Battle. It's the eternal battle between Nintendo VS Square, I tell ya.
