* Through the archway you see a dark, low passage
leading to an ascending staircase.
Sickly yellow lichen covers the ceiling.
There is a small room on each side of the passage. *

Vinoh makes his way into the arched passageway.

"Careful everyone. The last time I went into a lichen-covered passage, it was with Kentelos. We nearly got killed by ravaging, animated skeletons, so be on the lookout!"

Vinoh concentrates briefly on one of the jewels circling around his head, the one that enhances his strength to ogre-like proportions. Taking out his scout's club, he is ready for action.

Darghon watches as Sexodus walks right past him under the arch way.. under the lichen cover ceiling!!! Darghons eyes widen.. "Damn fool.." he then sighs.. Darghon moves into the room on the left carefully...

She waits with her bow ready just in case they come across any of the skeletons Vinoh mentioned.

Kentelos, now weary of any sort of lichen and what he associates with it gets ready to unleash fiery pain on anything that threatens the group.

"I would say I have a bad feeling about this... but since being in here I always have a bad feeling."

Darghon & Sexodus:
* Under the dark archway to your right,
there is nothing of interest within the four little 10-foot alcoves that line the way 2 on each side.
The lichen is the only thing of concern, but it doesn't seem to be harmful at all.
The stair well goes straight up for a bit, and then twists out of site to the right.
The only thing that seems to be of interest within the room you are currently in
is the havoc that has been left here from a great battle of the past
and the closed door on the far side of the room which you have already checked for traps several times over. *

Vinoh closes his eyes, focusing on gathering impressions and feelings felt in this place. He touches the bed and desk, as well as a few of the weapons, as these might be more likely to have been used and therefore would contain the clearest impressions.

in some malevolent form with red glowing eyes
leaping out towards the desk with fury

Then the room goes black.

You hear a hideous shreiking evil chuckle.
Your bones shiver to it marrow.
Your skin quakes and hair stands up on end
Your palms sweat
Your panting breath paces the speed of your beating heart.
You fear for your life
You fear for your soul

You hear a clutter of things falling and a howl
Over where krazixs was
A grunt and the sound of a body falling to the floor
knocked back against the wall.

How will you ever get out of this alive?! *

D'Aleen curses the darkness that even her elven eyes cannot penetrate. Catching a ghost of movement she trains her arrow on what she thinks is their newest threat, holding her bow steady despite the fierce pounding of her heart she waits for a glimmer of light so they can fight back.

Krazixs reels, feeling blood running down his cheek, and a ache in his head where it slammed into the wall behind him. Something evil was in here. Instinct takes over and the katana is in his hands. The words on his lips come out in a voice unlike any his companions have heard. They are at once full of power and alien.

In his hands the katana takes on a white light.

Blazing in the darkness, you can feel the warmth even from a distance.

You hear a demonic shriek of anger.
Howl away from the blade
and you hear an attack near the cot where Vinoh was kneeling & about to scan.
You hear a crash as something knocks into the wooden frame of the bed.

The fear in your heart is great.
The darkness hides your doom
The sounds of death are coming to your ears.
Sweat is dripping down your brow.
You want to flee *

(OOC: Sorry about the delays everyone. I was on client site out of town since Tuesday. That will be a regular thing (3-4 days per week down in Washington until mid december). I'll try to update during the night but there may be several days that go by without me able to update)

Feeling the light drain out of the room, Thantos raises his sword. He had been trained in nighttime and dark fighting, using all your other senses to detect your attacker, but that was against flesh and blood. Concentrating on his breath he focuses himself, stands in a ready crouch, sword raised and waits to hear something.

She flies higher and fligher screaming frantically, with attempts of engulfing the room in energy of bright sunlight and confidence::

Burning through the shadow, a new view is upon your eyes.
And a new warmth is in you heart & soul.

You see your new companion flying in the middle of the room on tiny wings
A strong warm light centering on her
and stretching forth with a touch that soothes the fears within you.

The demonic form of shadow is above the chest of Vinoh
ready strike another blow, perhaps the last.
When it howls with pain & fury at that light.
The glowing crimson eyes widen with that same emotion.
And it instinctively leaps from it's last attacked victim

Straight out towards the sources of that light & warmth. *

With the sudden burst of light, Krazixs sees the shadow near Vinoh. With a clear view Krazixs moves to attack. XianXian fly's toward the ceiling and the apparition turns it's attention towards her. Krazixs moves his sword to intercept and strikes.

Seeing Krzixs begin to strike Kentelos focus's heat and energy into the already powerful blade making the edges super heated, and when it strikes will give off a burst of fire.

D'Aleen feels an intense feeling of warmth flow through her as the tiny pixie emits a strong light.

She moves to the side slightly and braces as she trains her arrow on the creature, waiting to see how successful Krazixs' attack is and for him to be out of range before releasing it.

A sudden calm comes over her as she concentrates on nothing elce around her but this new threat to her friends.

"..Noo" he yells out seeing the creature ontop of his friend.. Seeing it lunge towards one of their new companions he frowns.. "You can stay right where you are.." he says as he thrusts one of his hands forwards issuing forth a telekinetic hold on the creature..

* Krazixs blade glows with an inner surge of power of the sun itself.
You see it briefly glow even redder
but the blade's edge seems to repress the growth in color and settle into strong gold.

Seeing something you'd never though you'd see from the former frail elf,
with his newfound strength, from almost his position where he was fallen back against the wall,
he leaps from a crouch with the blade in hand
intercepting the black intangible form's own flight forward to maim the pixie.
And with a quick snap of his wrist, the tip of the blade just passes through the darkness
and creates a thin trail of light across it's inky torso.

The creature shreiks against the strike on its "body".
And turns in flight to it's new attacker, with death shown in it's crimson eyes.
Only to turn to what you think is fear
when it sees Krazixs come to a kneel at the end of his leap
and spin around to face the shadow demon with his sun blade ready.

The creature looks to escape and sees the opening at the door
above where the rest of the party stands.
And with a quick bolt of flight heads for that space to flee from the pain of the light. *

The demonic form of shadow is above the chest of Vinoh ready strike another blow, perhaps the last. When it howls with pain & fury at that light. The glowing crimson eyes widen with that same emotion. And it instinctively leaps from it's last attacked victim Straight out towards the sources of that light & warmth. *
