The Double Dragon movie ruled, for the dumb piece of crap it was anyway.
I would like to see a movie based on Half Life, or on Halo... but the one I really want to see made is a movie based on Blaster Master.

Cmon guys.
Clearly we need to see Wing Commander done, this time done right. God that Wing Commander movie sucked. Freddie Prince Jr. is just not the guy that I see fighting the Kilrath abord the Concordia. a Good, True-to-game, Wing Commander movie about the Kilrath war, that would be good. Wing Commander 4 was practically a movie anyway though. I suppose halflife could be done well, but you would have to have Charlie Sheen as Gordon.

What about Tetris? I'm just curious to see if anyone could get a movie out of that. Why not? They made a movie out of the Pink Panther and there wasn't a single panther in the movie.
They should make a game out of the movie Condor Man.

MvC would be freakin awesome! It would just be a matter of consistancy. You wouldnt want 2 guys running around on the big screen playing spiderman, 2 different people as wolverine (unless you're joel schitmacher) cuz that movie would just cost tooo much.
As for Halo, the story would be butchered to hell. Granted, the story wasn't great to begin with, but you'd be paying to see a guy in a cool space suit run around killing CG aliens. Silly. Also, he would need a love interest, and some other sort of conflict other than "this is what i need to do next". As a movie, Halo would suck... more... stick to Red Vs. Blue

Dig Dug would be the ultimate...
played by Arnold Swarzenegger.... But I'm sure they'll get Will Smith to play it... just so he can do the Title cut to the Sound Track... "GETTIN DIGGY WIT IT... NANA NA NANANANAH NANA NA NA NANAH NANA NA NANANANAH NANA NA NA NANAH GETTIN DIGGY WIT IT NANA NA NANANANAH NANA NA NA NANAH"

Oh, I could do that! Unfortunatley, the company that was going to produce this movie (company?) or persons- anyhow, they ran out of time on the license, and did not renew. So as far as I know, and I got the most current news I could, no one has the rights for a Metroid movie right now. They are, fortunatley, up for grabs.

Consider this another vote for a Metal Gear Solid movie along with Zelda and Fallout.
I'd want a Mechwarrior movie but now I hear they're actually making one! Let's hope it's better than Robot Jox. I think Beyond Good and Evil would make a good movie but would require a lot of CG to do right.

A redone Resident Evil set in the spencer mansion, ala the actual game. Followed by sequels based on the S.D. Perry novels. Underworld...fucking awesome novel.
I'm surprised that only one person said Castlevania. Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation of Dracula was good, but we need the Belmont legacy up in that shit! Starcraft. Forget warcraft, we have enough medieval times-based war movies, and with lotr having been released recently, we won't need any more for a while. Starcraft, on the other hand, would be perfect. Set up the story right, according to the game. I feel Blizzard would have a lot of creative say in the makin of a Starcraft film, which is a good thing. Epic medieval war is passe. Epic science fiction war, with three races, that's awesome. There should be a Metal Gear trilogy. The first three Metal Gear games adapted to film. Metal Gear Solid is the strongest story of all three, I know, but you need the built up background for it to work. It would be amazing if they had a proper director. Hugh Jackman, I agree, would look the part but I don't think he should be playing any roles other than Logan/Wolverine. As far as GTA goes...it's already out. In fact, there are two of them. They're called Goodfellas and Scarface. But most of these are purely speculation, and unless I get the rights to the MG trilogy myself (when I become a director in the near future), I doubt any of my suggestions will happen. The only thing left to do is close our eyes and pray to God that Anderson doesn't fuck up yet another movie of great potential. Christ, I really fucking hate that man. He takes all the things that I would've done great and ruins them a decade before I'm even in the industry. Note to self: visit Anderson and introduce him to my friend L.V. Slugger.

I'm also behind a Deus Ex movie. The philisophical background and plot development of the first game was simply amazing.
Someone else mentioned Maniac Mansion, which reminds me that there was once a Maniac Mansion television show on the family channel a long time ago. But, a movie about that would be awesome too. |

everyone loves spies... Splinter Cell would make a great game!
Duke Nukem is the best PC game I've ever played, I still occasionally dust of DN because it was so kick ass back in the day also, The legend of Zelda and Wolfenstein... oh, and Halo would be an easy movie, it's practically an interactive movie as it is

GTA: Vice City would not make a good movie because there is already one out there just like it. Scarface. Vice City is pretty much a game made from Scarface and you cant go from movie to game to movie

I personally don't want to see any game made into a movie, because 99.9% of the movies-based-on-games that have came out sucked ass.

Well, if anyone said Max Payne (I quickly scanned the 4 pages) you can personally blame ME.
Yes, that's right, I am probably about 65% responsible for this game not being turned into a movie. In my defense, I take away 35% of responsiblity because I was only given 30 minutes notice to prepare for the pitch. But yes, it is all my fault. And to boot it was prolly about 2 months after 9/11 and I was still taking Valium every day.

I've been playing a lot of star wars galaxies latly, and i see all those other video games out there about it. Theres a great story behind it all and it seems well developed. it would be a good use for special effects too. so, my votes for a star wars based movie!
*ps... it was a joke* |
