Wow i thought it would be the complete opposite... i guess im in the minority when i say im all about inverted mouse. I simply cannot play as well with it set to normal. Strange.

I'm very strange when it comes to this, because I dont like either control. I always get confused during gameplay and think I'm using the opposite configuration. I really have to get used to a game before it stops becoming a problem.

I've always used normal mouse and WSAD keys. but now, i'm terribly tempted to try inverted.

WASD is fine by me. I have many extra button on my MS Optical Explorer mouse. That thing kicks ass, and I think you should have one too

i can switch if nessesary, takes me about 5 mins to readjust, like for Americas Army i use non but everything else im inverted, its because when AA first came out it didnt have an option, damn them

So basically, you can tell when someone started gaming by their config and the mouse settings they use. Flight Sim buffs will use invert, or people who migrated from console FPS's to pc FPS's, since invert is a default on consoles many times, for whatever reason.. As to invert mousers being better at games... In flight sims, yeah =p In FPS's, that hasn't been my experience.

P.S. ESDF has more room on the left for reload, duck keys, etc~

Not only does esdf give you more buttons (like a for reload ;))... Your left hand is ALREADY in typing position. I find this saves that valuable second or two, as i don't have to move my hand to start to type, and then back to shoot. Its already there.. so even tho I have to move my other hand, my left hand is busy strafing until it is needed to type, then the press of enter, and my left hand is back to strafing!! :):):)

my first games i played where all Flight Sims and there it was natural to use an inverted mouse . when you pull the trigger back the nose of your plane will get up ..... -> since then i use it this way :)

Inverted is the only way to go really... and yes, WASD too. I have no idea where i picked it up, i never played any flight sims, i guess naturally i attatched moving back is for looking up and vice versa, eh, w/e works.

have to agree with the WASD and inverted option... i definitely think it is a holdover from arcade flight sim games (i remember "afterburner" from long ago), and it is really bizarre for me to have it any other way.

Inverted - came from playing alot of flight sims

if the mouse isn't inverted then i can't play an FPS. it's just the most natural for me to "pull back" in order to look up. just makes sense.

Inverted mouse user here. I've got a wacky setup when it comes to FPS's. I use the right mouse button to go forward, the space bar to go back, CTRL is jump, Z and X are strafe left and right, respectively.

Any friend of mine who sits at my computer and tries to play an FPS breaks into a conniption fit very, very quickly.

I don't like inverted mouse.
