Fun game! I stopped playing it a while back though for some reason.

You don't need a top-of-the-line system or anything, but of course, the better your system, the better it will look. I have a friend that runs it on a 900mhz, 128mb RAM system with a 32mb card. It doesn't look or perform nearly as good as mine running at 2.4ghz, 1g RAM, 128mb card, but it still runs.

I stopped playing after patch 1.6 The network code after that patch was so buggy I either couldn't connect to a server or was frequently dropped a few minutes into the game.
It's too bad 'cause I really liked the teamwork aspect of the game and 95% of the players were pretty cool. Also, the Radio Tower map was pretty fun (I had been a Mountain Pass junkie up 'til then.) Not sure which patch you guys are waiting for now. I might try it again if they've cleaned it all up a bit. |

I play it a lot. I haven't been on in the past week and it will be a few days until I can get back into it.
I'm only at 14 honor though. It's my favorite online FPS because the players are usually worlds better with teamplay in public games than in other games, the graphics look damn cool, and the tension of having to be quiet. The SAW seriously whoops ass. Currently, I stay concentrated on one or two maps at a time until I can easily whoop ass most of the time. I'm playing pipeline and MOUT McKenna. Like MOUT because the matches are shorter (oh man, the agony of dying by TK nade within the first 30 seconds only to sit for 10 minutes watching two people crawling to avoid being heard on opposite sides of the map). Pipeline has a lot of exciting parts of the map. Also, once you learn how to properly and effectively use flashbangs and frag grenades, the game becomes much more fun. Run when you can, walk when you need to, and be quick with the ironsights. |
