I played for a few years on a Team-PVP EverQuest server named Vallon Zek. I quit months ago, but have still kept in contact with my fellow zekkers on our message board. So, every so often I see recent patch messages and this caught my eye (Patch message for July 10th, 2003):

** Skills **

- Sneak - Sneak will now work under water.

- Instill Doubt - Instill Doubt will now work if the Monk is using his other skills. Previously, use of other skills such as a kick would cause Instill Doubt to fail.

Wow. Skills that are 5+ years old are finally being fixed to work as intended. Meanwhile, SOE has milked millions of dollars out of its customers with half a dozen expansion packs, monthly fees, and transfer fees. I am constantly amazed by how inept that SOE is.

as long as people will keep paying them $13 a month its not Sony's fault. It's all the people who ended up buying crap like SWG, which has like 1/5th the features the "original" game was supposed to have.

I despise EverCrack, had a roomate that played it and hogged the cable connection all the time.

SOE is also not doing so well customer wise with Planetside. Lots of players that have already reached the level cap have quit, either to the repetitiveness of gameplay or for me it was after I reached the lvl cap there was nothing to look forward to. SOEs extremely late in game updates, extremely late in game fixes (Planetside STILL has memory leaks from beta). Minor annoying bugs still troll around in the world of PS.

I belive SOE is too big to manage all of its MMO's and keep them up-to-date, bug free and customer friendly. Eh, thats just my two cents.

hmmm i like everquest... its fun... some people cant handle it and and get addicited. I agree that SoE eats bawls and needs to work on the basic shit before they bring out the dungeon expasion. I guess i will see

Played EQ for quite a few years before i sold my guy and got out of it... It was a damn fun game but it takes soo much time out of your life. Ohh well it was pretty cheap entertainment and I must agree that SOE sucks a fat one
