The Sims 3
I see a lot of games I don't play and probably never will even though I secretly want to...
I started playing The Sims back before Makin' Magic was out (2001?). Hubby was over in the Gulf, I was bored, it was cheap. I've been hooked ever since. Now I've been using the Create A World tool. I don't play as much, I like to build worlds, lots... weird Sims. Anyone else want to admit playing The Sims 3 or any of the series? |

I play Sims 3 every now and again. My husband gives me grief about it, but I tell him to stuff it. I don't have any of the expansions yet, and those will probably have to wait until I get a new computer. I've played Sims 1-3, and I have to say, Sims 3 is definitely my favorite. I like how the world is so much more interactive than in previous games, right off the bat, without any expansions.

Yeah, we only have one computer in our house at the moment that runs Sims 3. It irritates my husband because this computer also happens to be our media PC. Hey, I can't help that HP installed the graphics cards in our laptops in a shitty way, and then only offered free service for laptops with AMD chips (assholes). I'm hoping to get a new computer for Christmas.

I played The first and second Sims series, as well as Sims online, once upon a time. I'm afraid to get Sims 3 because I've spent a great deal of time on those games already... I rarely played the actual Sim characters, and just built houses in designs I found interesting.

I played Sims awhile back...don't even remember which version.
I got bored quickly and just killed them all off. Yup, I felt like God. |

And FuriousAvatar, one of my favorite aspects of the game is building houses.

I can't remember all ways I killed a Sim.....
When one got into the pool, I'd take the ladder out. Stupid thing couldn't get out of the pool without it so it would drown eventually. I think I got rid of the fridge and stove so they couldn't cook and then the phone so they couldn't order pizza. Starved to death. I think i didn't bathe them or let them have a toilet. They died of something gross then. How did you kill them Cats_Eyes? This thread makes me want to dig out the game again and play. |

In TS2 I played the Legacy Challenge and a part of it was to have each ghost. There were some I never did get. Like- Meteors Death by Flies Fire was easy. Starving, Old age, Electrocution...Wow, so many I can't even remember. TS3 they can survive better. They don't need a ladder to get out of the pool. They can leave home and go out to eat. I just had my Gold Digger Sim's husband die in the pool so she could have her life time wish. It's easiest.

You can still enclose them with walls and let them die.
Also, in Sims 3, if they electrocute themselves once while trying to repair an electrical object, they only get singed; but if they go back and attempt to repair it while singed, they will most likely be fatally electrocuted.

Lol~ You're so right, snowy.
I lost my first Sim in TS3 by electrocution the second try to fix her computer. The rich Sim died in the pool after I put walls around them. He'll be okay- I'll let his ex wife bring him back.

Sims 3 is fun. I really like the customization tool.
My fave thing about the game is making all the pretty houses ^_^ It usually takes me hours to complete one house. But I find it a lot more fun than commanding the sims themselves, making them do shit. Ah well I still play it. |
