TFP Left 4 Dead Night
so, cynthetiq and I were going to get our zombie killing action on, but we couldn't due to circumstances. A bit of chatting and we decided it might be fun to get a bunch of folks together and do a night of it. Maybe some versus play, and fun all around.
How 'bout it folks? As long as I remain jobless, my schedule is pretty flexible. I'm all for doing some collective zombie stomping. It'll be a bonding experience. INSTRUCTIONS: Post whether you're in or out, and what times would be most convenient for you. We'll pick a time and date based on collective availability, to accommodate as many people as we can. I don't have Left 4 Dead 2. I'm all for sequel zombie slayage, but this thread pertains to the original. Anyone who does have the sequel is welcome to open a parallel thread to organize a night for that. Special Note: Baraka_Guru, you're in. I'm not giving you a choice.

Well, crap. Okay, then....I'm available most weeknights and weekends are pretty open. There will be the occasional day I'll be doing an "extracurricular activity," but those are few and far between.
If it's a gym night, I won't be able to start until after 9. Otherwise, it can be a bit earlier.

So far we have myself, aberkok, Baraka_Guru and (hopefully) Cynthetiq. Friday or Saturday night is looking like the best option.
Really? That's all we can get together? I'm disappointed, TFP. (Not saying that you guys aren't good enough or anything, just figured for a better turnout).

I would join in since I have it, but I personally think the game is a joke. It's a glorified mod for HL2. /sour

SNAP! ZING!
I'm in. I can do a Friday or a Saturday usually. I'm generally home those evenings, good for saturday day too. Weeknights are good too except Wed/Thursday since those are raiding days. While it may be a HL2 mod, you really can't do HL2 coop with swarms and swarms of never ending enemies.

TF2 has 9 classes with 45 different weapons. L4D has 1 class with 5 different weapons. TF2 has 9 game modes. L4D has 2. TF2 has 33 maps. L4D has 5. TF2's models and art style are totally unique and built from the ground up while L4D is running the exact engine that HL2 runs with the same type of character models and guns. etc. etc. etc.
Sorry for raining on the parade earlier, I just hate seeing the gigantic support that TF2 got and how L4D felt like an afterthought.

Okay, so I'm inclined to say tomorrow evening (say, 7 or 8). Does that work for everyone?
Depending on how many players we end up with, we can do a run through one of the old campaigns or Crash Course, of we can do a bit of vs. I'm open to suggestions, of course.

I'm on Steam right now, waiting for other players to show.
Anyone who wants to join in, message me. Hoping to get things started in an hour or so.
