I agree with CS for squad based stuff. On the other hand, a good game of BF1942 with 40-60 people running around gives the full effect of carnage.

TFC is the best one to me, that games 5 or 6 years old and its still a hell of alot of fun, how many games can you say that about. I can't weight for Half-Life 2 to come out, i hope they do a good job with it.

I've always been a fan of good old Team Fortress with the original Quake. Frontline Force, Counter Strike are great. Alien v. Predator, Starcraft, Warcraft are all awesome too.

I'm a big fan of CS. Also Natural Selection, another HL mod which is a FPS/RTS hybrid. Best looking/sounding mod I've ever seen, and the gameplay is amazing.

5 Player Bomberman 95 for the PC Engine! My old roommates and I could easily stay up til 3-4 am having rowdy tournaments. We used to do a little Unreal Tournament over the LAN, but it seems so impersonal compared to surrounding your friend with bombs.

SSB:M is party times for local groups. I am all about Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory lately for squad-based tactical combat, and as for RTS, Total Annihilation is still the king, though I do enjoy some Star/Warcraft or Galactic Battlegrounds from time to time.

Im gonna have to disagree about SSB:M. I think they pretty much ruined the game compared to the first one. I could go into great detail about why i think that, but I wont hehe. IMO, the first one was a MUCH better game. and btw WHERE THE HELL IS MARIO KART FOR THE GAME CUBE?!?!?!?

They are set to release later this year with lan support and a feature that allows you to have a player controlled gunner on the back of your kart.
