Fav Multiplayer game (Not MMPORG)
i like the half life exp games, cs and tfc to be precise.
i think they're the most fun to play and a lot of people still play cs. |
Well since you already answered for me with HL and Counter-Strike...:)
I agree with CS for squad based stuff. On the other hand, a good game of BF1942 with 40-60 people running around gives the full effect of carnage.
Battle Field 1942. In the case too many people say that, Battle Toads.
TFC is the best one to me, that games 5 or 6 years old and its still a hell of alot of fun, how many games can you say that about. I can't weight for Half-Life 2 to come out, i hope they do a good job with it.
currently playin CnC:Generals
once in a while, still goin back to the Rainbow Six franchise games specially Rogue Spear and Urban Operations |
americas army
dod |
gonna have to say bf1942:desert combat
StarCraft
WarCraft 3/Frozen Throne Diablo 2/LoD Pretty much anything Blizzard. And obviously CS like 90% of the computer gaming community |
I've always been a fan of good old Team Fortress with the original Quake. Frontline Force, Counter Strike are great. Alien v. Predator, Starcraft, Warcraft are all awesome too.
I'm quite partial to Blizzard, they aer always my favorite!
I love every single one of thier online games with a burning passion. |
I'm a big fan of CS. Also Natural Selection, another HL mod which is a FPS/RTS hybrid. Best looking/sounding mod I've ever seen, and the gameplay is amazing.
ut2k3 or urban terror(q3 mod)
Duke Nukem 3D was stupidly fun back in its time.
Ahhh, heat.net Those were the days. I have a few that I'd still love to play online but I'm having a mental block. |
Quote:
i played nfs3 thru it |
STARCRAFT OWNS J00. Yeah..Sc is still an amazingly fun game..
For just playing with my friends, NOTHING can top Halo. That game is fucking awesome. And I'm a damn demon with the pistol.
LOL i remember heat.net. they were pretty freakin cool. they hosted servers for you, you could get heat points and buy shit, it had chatrooms. good times.
MOH:AA- love team deathmatch on this
Day Of Defeat- Graphically maybe a little dated, but still sweet Enemy Territory- Free, fast, fun. What more could you want? :) |
unreal tournament and quake 3 arena.
:) |
When it comes to consoles, (I'm talking party games) Super Smash Bros. Melee is very fine indeed.
All the various Mods for half life
Soldier of Fortune 2
Doom2 over hourly-charging BBSes, or Quakeworld Team Fortress.
Tac Ops, which is the Unreal Mod is very good. I prefer Tac Ops to CS, it is smoother and faster.
Right now DoD owns me till I can get BF9142.
Also been getting back into Americas Army. I play DOD as [iSk]Krycheck if anyone cares. |
quake 3 rocket arena
5 Player Bomberman 95 for the PC Engine! My old roommates and I could easily stay up til 3-4 am having rowdy tournaments. We used to do a little Unreal Tournament over the LAN, but it seems so impersonal compared to surrounding your friend with bombs.
SSB:M is party times for local groups. I am all about Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory lately for squad-based tactical combat, and as for RTS, Total Annihilation is still the king, though I do enjoy some Star/Warcraft or Galactic Battlegrounds from time to time.
Im gonna have to disagree about SSB:M. I think they pretty much ruined the game compared to the first one. I could go into great detail about why i think that, but I wont hehe. IMO, the first one was a MUCH better game. and btw WHERE THE HELL IS MARIO KART FOR THE GAME CUBE?!?!?!?
Back in the day I used to play the hell out of CS. My company would host LAN parties once a month and just kick each other's ass 'till dawn.
Battlefield 1942
Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat Although I haven't played in about a month :( |
def, MOHAA greatest game ever
great free online game was sony's Infantry. it was amazing. graphics, gameplay, speed. too much fun. and i owneeddd. too bad its a pay2play game now. they lost so many people. =(
Starcraft, or Diablo/Diablo II.
Worms 2. And Duke 3d was great back in the day. When we were all young.. and full of vigor.
i am going to have to go w/ a console game here...
Super Smash Brother's Melee. Play it all the time w/ my friends. It's especially fun when under the influence. |
Counterstrike all the way... with an honorable mention to Redneck Rampage. Yeehaw! =p
Mario Kart, the super nintendo version, before rainbow road had any weenie assed walls. Tournaments of that got violent...
And redneck rampage? I thought I was the only one who played that shit :) |
It just depends what kind of mood I'm in.
I really have a blast with lan parties of Halo, but I always enjoyed old school Bomberman. Quote:
BF1942: Desert Combat
MoH: Deluxe Edition Rainbow Six's...all of them C&C...all of them Age of Empires...all of them |
I would have to say Mario Kart 64... hehe i always sucked at it but its sooo much fun with players on skyscraper and being a little bomb kicks ass when you lose..
Pkeigs |
i guess i'm the only one that plays Mechwarrior4: Mercanaries?
Or if its not electronic, i like jenga and taboo |
lets see..
I quit diablo 2: lod from all the hack users.. but i still play tcp/ip and lan parties even though bnet is aganst lan parties making money.. UT/UT3k Delta Force Landwarrior/Black Hawk Down (known as luke_snotwalker) Nascar raceing.. (im a wrecker) hehe Total Annihilation Decent(yeah i still play it) lol Zombie Mud NWN TIE Fighter Battletech |
Ill have to say Global Ops, Both IGN and Gamespot state that if CS hadn't come out first, this would be peoples CS. if you started playing CS first, you prob won't like it, apparently its to hard for the CS'ers. :) Graphically its not the best but as far as team play goes its the shiznit. If you haven't played it, you can pick it up for about 15 bucks now and still plenty of games going on gamespy all day long.
O and one more for anything made by Blizzard, but thats kind of obvious :) |
Unreal Tournament....
Half-Life, C&C Renegade, and Return to Wolfenstien....Love those games...
The Wheel of Time is, hands down, the greatest FPS multi-player game ever. It came out at the same time UT did. However, it was way ahead of it's time. The combat system is so complex it takes months to master. Instead of just shooting an opponent with a gun, you use magic based weapons. Every weapon in the game with the exception of Balefire (one shot, one kill) has a counter. So, you can imagine some amazing, lengthy firefights with skilled players.
The CTF mode called Citadel allows you to set up your base with traps and other nasty surprises to slow the opposing team down. It also lets you move the seals (flags) to anywhere you want. It's a game that you really just can't describe. It has to be played. It never did well in sales, though. I think the learning curve was too steep for the average gamer. |
Halflife: DoD is my current favorite

^^ this is a man with real taste represent wc3 tft and sc best games ever i dont d2 as much anymore tho and no more cs either =/ |
solder of fortune 2
:D very well balanced and its fun :) and you dont have to deal with the everyday cs noob, so thats a big plus. |
With the right people, Neverwinter Nights is great multiplayer. Back in the day it was all about the Marathon or Duke Nukem.
Halo over system-link, and counter-strike
old school rainbow six
Mohaa
Counter-Strike > all :)
My favorite online game of all time is Tribes, more specifically, the Renegades mod. Playing that was the most fun I've ever had playing online, and I would still play today if anyone else played.
CS for sure
Easy, Unreal Tournament,, no doubt
The great free game:
Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory Download it from: http://www.3dgamers.com/games/wolfensteinet/ |
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Day of Defeat are my current online favs. I must have a WW2 fetish at the moment. I'll be playing Natural Selection on the 31st when 2.0 comes out though.
America's Army.
If you like DoD and CS you'll like AA. It is updated with new content every few months and it's free. |
CS, by far.
I love it so much because it requires more skill than most games. |
now im all hooked up in Enemy territory :D And i never got NS to work :/
Every FPS game since it has tried to stack up. Love it.... hate it.... counter-strike
Alpha Centari Alien Crossfire
Best game for multiplayer I think, if only for the hotseat game. My friends and I have blown away hundreds of hours with that game, and I think at one point I had a gig of saved games (we never managed to finish one, but we sure liked starting them) |
The Rainbow Six series kept me entertained in the FPS area.
Halo of course =)
It's got to be Mario Kart on the SNES. Still the benchmark for multi-player games.
CS, Jedi Knight 2, Starcraft, Super Smash Bros. Melee...
I played the hell out of RTCW.
Low-grav TFC
any multiplayer Bomberman game NHL Hitz Suber Smash Bros., and Melee |
Fps: Battlefield 1942 or Cs
RTS: CnC generals or Starcraft.... |
Unreal championship or Halo, both are great with system link.
Online: TFC
At small LANs, or on one computer: Anything with "Worms" in the title. :D |
Never winter nights, and Quake 3 for when I just want to kill stuff
SOLDAT and ARMAGETRON
SOLDAT
Soldat has got to be one of the greatest little multiplayer games EVER. Check it out, the shareware is cripple-free. Oooh, another great one is ARMAGETRON Fun Tron light-cycle game and it's FREEWARE! and of course Star Control II |
warlords 2
can't beat hotseat strategy gaming... :) but in this day and age... amplitude-ps2 or castle wolfenstein-xbox or unreal tournament -pc or |
Halo, goldeneye, perfect dark, bf1942, the list goes on and on.
creeper ctf for quake 1. Getting the monk the ally and geez i dont even remember all the runes made for a truely fun time. defending the flag with the force rune hanging from the wall while ally rune guy ran around getting ammo quad and armor just kicked major butt.
I would have to say that the Day of Defeat mod for Half Life kicks ass as far as squad based multiplay is concerned
I've been a CS Demon for years now. Also, battle toads for super nintendo.
quakeworld quakeworld quakeworld :)
