Here's to you, Dave Arneson
Just a little over a year since the death of Gary Gygax, the world of gaming loses another of its greats....
Last night Dave Arneson, one of the co-creators of Dungeons & Dragons, lost his seven year battle to cancer at the age of 61. He created the world of Blackmoor, and helped Gary Gygax transform the original Chainmail which became the original D&D. So here's to you Dave. You helped to create something that changed the way millions of people the world over enjoy their lives. You were a dragon amongst kobolds!

I played one of the later versions of the first D&D (the red books...D&D Basic Rules box set). It remains one of the early catalysts of my imagination, and will remain a fond memory.
In a world of Monopoly, Risk, and the Game of Life, these guys created something stupendous that is still going strong. Thanks, Dave.
