PlayXpert: Overlay system for MMORPG
this looks pretty interesting. Skogafoss and I have dual monitor systems so having to alt-tab is minimal for us.
The question is security. What do you think about this and would you worry about security with your MMO passwords etc? -----Added 4/8/2008 at 03 : 19 : 16----- edit: forgot to add link and add some photos PLAYXPERT - product Introducing the massively extendable, customizable in-game toolset that will change the way you game. Well, it's not just for MMORPGs, but yeah, it's a good idea I think.

I could see the ingame browser being useful for MMO's, but my PC can already alt-tab seamlessly in and out of WoW without any delay so an ingame browser isn't that useful to me. That along with the current WoW addons you can already get like QuestHelper.
I've been hacked before so I'm pretty wary when it comes to anything that might be a security threat :( |
Well, I doubt a hacker would go so far to create a working program only to have it steal accounts. I mean it was featured in PC gamer or whatever magazine. I'm guessing it's going to be an actual product or market other features in the future after reading the licensing agreement. The only reason it's free now is because it's beta.
I used an overlay before, I can't remember the name now but it was a resource hog, I was better off just alt tabbing. |
