Well I'm eating crow, waiting for the site to load now. It's extremely slow. Guess Blizzard didn't expect this much traffic.

I was going to wait until my eMac conked out before upgrading to the new iMac, but I don't think upgrading to prepare for SC2 and Diablo 3 is a bad excuse.
BTW, everyone should keep updated on Lasereth's video card guide. I have no doubt that SC2 and Diablo 3 will have hefty hardware requirements. My guess? No less than a 2.4GHz processor, 2GB RAM, and a decent 512MB video card (probably either one of the 8800s or the new 9800 GTX). |

With no confirmed release date for SC2 yet, I'm thinking 2011-2012 is realistic, but 2010 would be wonderful. They did state that they wish to perfect the game as much as they can before release though, and as with WoW (and D2/SC to a very minor extent), they will likely fine tune Warden (hack detection) well for it, and of course take a few years after release to get rid of all the bugs and glitches as well as balance the gameplay/characters, then add more stuff, and start fixing the problems caused by that (at least that is what they did with D2).
