I was big into 40K, but I'm taking a break on my armies until 4th Edition of 40K comes out this fall (I still paint miniatures to sell though, and I make a good chunk of dough from that). Right now I'm starting Flames of War, a fantastic WWII 15mm Historicals game which has quickly become the most popular Historical game on the market and is spreading worldwide. I've always wanted to get into Warhammer or the like, but I've never had the money or the time...

Now that Im in Univeristy, I DEFINATLEY dont have the money or the time...
*sigh*
Ah well, I guess I'll just have to smash my Model Trains into each other at high speeds...

There's plenty of smaller scale games around - if you've got a couple of interested friends, the Mordheim rulebook is about to be released online, and that only requires 7 to 20 models. Great fun to play, and very light on the wallet.
