Looking For Ps2 "best of" lists
hi, i recently had an idea to troll ebay and find some fun multiplayer games on the cheap for when friends come by. i'd like to know if there's a top 20 or even top 50-100 "best of" lists out there for all the ps2 games that have been released... it wouldn't hurt if there were also genre lists like best rpg's and fighters and cinematic puzzle solvers etc....
any links/ideas?

game rankings
yes there are. gamerankings.com has the best one.
The way it works is they take reviews from magazines or websites like IGN or gamespot and then they make an average. This is what makes the list. Go here to make your own: http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrank...pleratings.asp or from their main page: gamerankings.com > on the left, under platform, click The rankings and then you can pick the system like n64, ps2 or pc, the game type like racing or fighting, and how many results from 10 to 200 i believe. you can also select by dates, so the best games for 2006 for example. the best thing about this is you can search by VOTING RESULT as well. that means the users who voted so you get a better understanding. seriously. this is the best way to look for games. enjoy! I did a list with just the 50 best games by reviews for ps2. this is the list. Quote:

God of War? Number 9 behind "Pro Skater" and 3 Grand Theft games? All in all that's a pretty good list, although, you guys are right, the omission of Kingdom Hearts is a downright shame. I also really liked the Sly Cooper games, but it doesn't look like they made the cut.

hey! i didn't say that was the BEST list. but it's the most accurate as far as reviews go. if you try the same thing with USERS, you get this instead which is better i think.

that second list is much much better. Except I would have thrown out Burnout3 and GTA: Vice City from the top 10 and added Resident Evil 4 (even though the GC version is better) and Soul Calibur II (again, even though the GC version is better).

The list I posted is from a website that collects reviews from gaming magazines and gaming websites. so if they all give a game 80% to 90%, the average is something like 85%. it's not as accurate because a game like god of war is super good but most places give it a 90%. and a sport game that's well made will also receive a 90% but they're not the same. so that's why the 2nd list is what users prefer so you know what's good and what's jsut been given a good review.
