Any tips for GTA Vice City
Any tips for GTA Vice City - the PC version?
I love this game – but because of the vastness of it, I find myself a little lost at what to do sometimes. <b>I don’t want cheat codes</b> (I check that thread before I posted) – just some hints or little tricks you have found that work. Where's the best building to buy? How many stores are there to rob, I cant seem to find them How many hidden packages have you found? (I have 30 out of 100) Driving tips?

You'll eventually buy them all (the buildings for sale). 15 stores to rob in total on all islands. I found all 100 hp. When driving, don't be afraid to cut across grass, use sidewalks, or just run people over. Your best bet is to do the ambulance missions first. Infinite run comes in real handy, and by the time you're done you've got lots of money. Same with the 100 taxi missions, and pizza delivery, and they give you a good feeling for how the city is laid out. Wait to do the vigilante missions with the Rhino. I got up to level 89 using the Rhino, and over 2 million dollars.

I usually start out with "Pole Position" once I am able to buy businesses. If you sit around getting a show from a girl in the first back room and spend 600 you will be able to make money quicker without having to do anything. I thought stores on the west island were easier to find, you will be able to open that up soon.
If you're looking for a place to save, I usually buy the one at the northern end of the east island that has a garage. |

I've been followingGameFAQs
even though all the guides are PS2 specific, the game is a fairly straight port, so the 'world' is the same, just controls are different. of particular use is the guide by dark52 and the 100% Guide I've been using these 2 documents (and some that they mention in their text) and I've done about 30% of the game in the last 2 weeks with very casual play 'cause I've got a job and a life, both of which interfere with GTA:VC, or the other way around.... enjoy!

Opening up the second island then doing the package mission is nice. You get the Python pistol, armor at the hotel save point, and a few other nifty things. For guns I ended up using the python(one shot kills, but stationary), the Uzi or Mac10(the one you can buy at the mall), and the rocket launcher for big stuff.

I just finished GTA:VC yesterday. 100%. Used that 100% Completion Guide mentioned earlier.
That guide is probably the best one out there. Creative ways of solving missions, effective order of doing things, no story spoilers, and doesn't take the fun away. Last edited by Agent Anderson; 06-17-2003 at 01:59 PM.. |

Dude if you drive around you will eventually find homes you can buy that have garages. There are two on the east (first) island, both somewhat near the middle on the west side. As you get more money you can buy an auto dealer with large garage space (west island).

I use the mo-ped to scout out a area looking for the hidden packages. Its easier than getting in/getting out of a car every 10 seconds to check those corners, and faster than running
