Portable Puzzle Pleasure: Puzzle Quest!
So I picked up puzzle quest a couple weeks ago for the PSP and recently finished my first play through. The game is also available on the DS, and a PC demo is available at:
http://www.gamedaily.com/canvases/gd...15101009990002 The game has garnered quite a cult following, and I was a bit surprised not to see a thread on here about it. To sum it up, it's Bejeweled except with battles and RPG elements/story. Overall the gameplay is repetative but addictive, and there is a definite sense of character progression as you level and obtain new spells. I suppose my biggest gripe with the game is how you can push powergaming to absurd limits, some of the rune items and spells can be combined to make your character ridiculously powerful. At one point I only failed battles when my PSP froze after I produced too enormous a combo. Overall though I give it a hearty recommendation; it's all I can do to resist giving it another playthrough so I can get some uhhh... work done. |

I picked it up as well. Its a perfect playstyle for me, as I lead a bit of a stop and go life right now. I'm nowhere near completing the game, as I like hitting all the sidequests and experimenting with forging and such. As of now, I have no complaints for the PSP version, except for the supposed companion glitch, which renders the companion powers useless in this version of the game.
