Flight Simulator X?
I'm surprised there's not a thread for this - anyone out there playing FS X?
I think its absolutely fantastic. My computer is getting quite middle-of-the-road, and I take it as a good sign that I can barely run it on Medium. The graphics are fantastic at that. Some of their new "missions" are cool. In one, you and another pilot have to take off, do a loop, flyby, and then return and line up with the runway on precise timing so that you can race a jet-powered SEMI that's parked on the runway. The one I'm working on right now is the Innsbruck instrument approach. For some damned reason I can't keep the two-prop planes anywhere near ATC's altitude. I'm lucky to keep it within 500 feet. Anyone else out there got this fantastic game? http://www.microsoft.com/games/pc/flightsimulatorx.aspx

Good flight sims are cool. The last one I played was Falcon 4.0 on a Mac...I remember having to memorize so many controls I probably could have flown a real plane.
![]() I have an amd 3200+ and 7800gt. Do you think this is good enough to run the game with high graphics setting? What type of controls are you using for the game? |

I gave the demo a quick test but i think it's a bit expensive for the amount of time I'd play it. also, some things didn't work too well like crashes just brought me back in the sky. i understand the whole 911 crap but why should it affect my games?!

FS allows you to choose crash settings. One doesn't recognize the crashes - and that's usually the default. You have to set it to recognize them. |

My dad's new Conroe Core 2 Duo e6400 with 2 gig DDR2 800 and a X950 Pro runs it at high, but at 30 fps.. ![]() I use a joystick with a variable throttle, 30 bucks for the Logitech Xtreme 3D.. deifnitely worht the buy a few years back. Pain to use F4 all the time in FS X. And yea, mexican.. collisions are configurable..
