City of Heroes Players?
Greetings spandex clad ones and all,
I'm just wondering if there are any of those out there in Tilted land who are currently playing City of Heroes? If you are, I am currently a member of RPCongress.com, we're a bunch of roleplayers on the Pinnacle server and the virtue server as well. Veteran rewards are going to be coming out with the next free expansion/update. |

I play on the 'Virtue' server. Although I have heroes, I have not played them since City of Villains came out. I find the balance of the CoV archetypes more to my liking. I am an Alt-a-holic and play at least 4 villains actively. Because of this I progress relatively slowly. My highest level villain (TreeMuggerE) is 32 right now.
My global handle is @Strike. Feel free to send an in game message.

Free weekend thing is going on right now, and I havn't even played. I guess I really am just about done with this game. I love the super hero genre for an MMO but the fights/npc AI is just boring. Same exact thing every time just about. Always loved the ability to design such detailed costumes though. |

The GvE edition gets you new costume pieces including a couple of new permanent powers including jump jet pack and a Pocket D teleport power. New veteran awards gets you all sorts of new costume pieces as well as permanent new powers, Sands of Mu or the Undead Slaying Axe.
http://www.cityofheroes.com/store/go...gve_items.html http://www.cityofheroes.com/communit...anrewards.html If you already have COH and COV, you can get the pack for the extra in game parts. $10.00 bucks gets you all that fun stuff above. As for AI on the enemies, I do notice a big difference as they are scaling towards the team that you are on. And once you do hit the mid 30's and higher, the enemies tend to do a lot different things. And hey, when you are with Roleplayers, the story behind the missions never is the same. |

I agree that people make all the difference though. But I've never been able to find a steady group of people to play with (for any MMO) because I never play longer than a month at a time. |

I do agree getting the pickup groups is a bit tiring. But I'm never without someone to play along with as long as I'm roleplaying. The guild I'm in (inserting blatant promotion here) RPCongress.com has 400 registered roleplayers, mainly for the pinnacle server. It's a damn good group that has gone through thick and thin, and we also have Mercedes Lackey as one of our regular players. But if it's not to your taste, that's cool too. Just because everyone has a belly button doesn't mean that we all have to pick the lint out the exact same way.

Also on Virtue here. I bounce back and forth a LOT between my heroes and my villains, each side just has so much to do. At the moment I'm concentrating more on my new-ish scrapper (level 32; BS/regen is INSANE), but chances are I'll switch at the drop of a hat.
Global is @Vilkatas is ya wanna look me up, just make sure you specify you're from TFP...I get enough blind invites and bizzarre tells to make me rather wary >.<
