I've never played PC Halo or created/seen a dedicated session, but its another chance to practice my Google skills.
I googled "Halo dedicated server troubleshoot" and got all sorts of sites. Of note is the one which describes the init.txt configuration file. And from my 5 minute reading of the file, I have a question: "sv_public 1" appears in your configuration, correct? It is this value which determines if the server is "...listed on the GameSpy Master Server list." Beyond that, I don't have any suggestions other than the generic --- Your firewall is allowing the port used by the server to be accessed, correct? I If you're in Windows XP, your Windows Firewall has Dedicated Server listed as an exception, correct? EDIT: Another link I found, while Googling: "My Halo CE Server Does Not show in Gamespy" http://www.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=1&nid=238 "I started a server and no one can join the game" http://www.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=1&nid=237 Google is your friend. At the moment my init file is this:
sv_name Halo_Dedicated sv_public True sv_maxplayers 12 sv_password halo sv_mapcycle_timeout 10 sv_mapcycle_add timberland CTF sv_mapcycle_add dangercanyon assault sv_mapcycle_add gephyrophobia slayer sv_mapcycle_add bloodgulch "crazy king" sv_mapcycle_begin It doesnt display on the lan games list or the internet games list. If i go on halo trial and create a game people can join. All 3 ports are forwarded on my router. I can't think of anything that would change it etc...

Could somebody please write me a init file for a internet game that would be hosted on the gamespy servers and accesible by random people and could somebody also write me one for a LAN game so my friends can join.
Thank you very much, Chris
