Blizzard is working on 3 unannounced projects, with a major one coming in 2007. I (with millions of others) am hoping for Starcraft 2 like no other, but it could be a new game altogether. Looks like Starcraft:Ghost has been delayed for good, though.

i hope to god they don't put heros in melee that pissed me off about WCIII(also no cartoonish style art)--if it's SC2

if it's diablo 3, i think i'd flunk out of college

I remember when the first rumors of SC2 came out, when the internet was new, and when Paris Hilton was in Middle School. They floated around for a while, then Diablo 2 came out, then the expansion, then Warcraft 3, then the expansion, then Star Craft Ghost was tossed around for a few decades, then WOW basically raped online gaming as we know it. All along, I've played SC on bnet. All along I've waited.

quoted for truth i swear to god the first was so good, they would sell 2 million with the name Starcraft 2, just because it has something to do with starcraft

They're not gonna release a game that could compete with WoW anytime soon. One of the major rules in companies is to never release a product that will directly compete with another product. Thousands (possibly millions) of WoW players love StarCraft and would most likely completely stop playing WoW or severely limit their playtime with SC2.

I'm not holding my breath. I HATE learning about a game that's not even officially announced yet. I've been waiting for FF12 and the new Zelda game forever! It's driving me crazy. I just think it'd be cool is they could just keep the info quiet until like 3 months before it's release. That'd ease the pain a little.
